My wife and I, along with our two adult children, spent 4 days and 3 nights at Big Cedar. The overall experience was outstanding. We stayed in a one room cabin, with a king bed and sofa bed on the main floor and a queen bed in a loft. Plenty of room for the 4 of us. The cabin also...

My wife and I love this place!! The cabins are immaculate and the grounds are very well kept. The resturants are great and reasonable. We rented a boat at the marina and enjoyed a self guided tour of the lake. Nice walking trails and so much scenery to see. One of the best and most helpful staffed places we've stayed....

Love this upscale resort in Missouri. This are is full of mom and pop places and this resort stands out! Spread out over many acres of beautiful landscaping and appointed hotel/ condo homes.
We loved the fact that would could dock our boat at their full service floating marina.
You can rent a boat too but. Our kids love this...

We just returned from Big Cedar Lodge, our first visit. We were a family group of 9 ranging from grandparents to a 3 year old. This lovely property had something for everyone. The grandchildren enjoyed hiking, shuffleboard, playground, boating, pony rides, movies and feeding the turtles. Parents enjoyed golf, and the spa. Grandparents enjoyed lovely meals, walking, taking in the...

Family trip each summer. It used to be somewhat of a hidden gem, not such a secret anymore. Great for kids of all ages - with plenty of activities. The quality of food is very good -- but our favorite spots are the Buzzard Bar and the Truman House. Don't expect 5 stars for the rooms. They serve their purpose...

The staff is wonderful, the grounds are beautiful -- cannot wait to go back again! Great place to escape and be pampered! You are secluded, yet there is always something to do and see!
The perfect getaway spot for romance, frolicking on the lake or shopping. This place has it all but set in a tremendous outdoorsy, next to nature way. It has a touch of luxury that one can only wish for if you were camping with family or friends but its condo or cabin style with a twist...grills on your deck. The...

Springtime at Big Cedar is beautiful...with the wonderful landscaped gardens everywhere you go.
As usual, our stay here with friends was unsurpassed. We stayed on the property for 3 days except for our golf. Otherwise, we couldn't leave the grounds it was so peaceful, and with 4 places to eat, we wanted for nothing. Be sure to take the complimentary...

We spent only two nights here during the last days of March 2012. We stayed in one of the Knotty Pine Cottages. It was the perfect size for my husband and I. A couple cons to the room: only a shower (albeit a roomy one) and no wifi (only wired available). Otherwise, we enjoyed the room. The grounds themselves are...
