I found this place while looking for somewhere to stay while visiting friends. Looks good, plenty of parking, friendly welcome, good size room and all the facilities you need. We ate at our friends that evening but breakfast was spot on and cooked to order.

Really enjoyed my visit to the White Lion. Great Beer, Amazing Beef and Blacksticks Blue Pie and all served with a genuine smile. I asked to see the letting bedrooms which looks clean and cosy. Simply a great Pub!

We took a business colleague for a meal after visiting previously and having a pleasant experience. The room was not busy but the meal was of only average quality and though the waitress was pleasant and attentive we were disappointed with one of three starters and two of the main courses. On this occasion a young dog who accompanied us... More

We were taken for lunch here. Friendly welcome and good beer, but I'm afraid it went downhill from there. One member of the party wanted rum and black, (old fashioned maybe!),no rum-asked for sherry instead, no sherry! Bearing in mind this is a pub! Food was ordered; cutlery delivered (placed on table holding the forks prongs.) Food delivered: 3 people... More

Just returned from an overnight visit at the White Lion. Myself and a friend wanted to experience Skipton Christmas Market and had booked the White Lion as a base. We were both unsure what to expect given some of the harsh Trip Advisor reviews but were pleasantly surprised. The pub itself is steeped in character- the landlord, landlady and all... More

We have stayed over and over again here,Susie is very welcoming and Dave is funny with his own dry wit. We come here with our puppy Lexi who also adores it here,Dave is always there with a clean bowl of water for her,and Susie with plenty of affection. The bar is very well stocked (both of us being ex publicans... More

My boyfriend and I arrived at 2pm on Saturday after spending the morning/early afternoon in nearby Skipton. Check-in was efficient and friendly. When I mentioned we would be going to the Keighley-Worth Valley Railway the next day, the gentleman owner provided us with a brochure/timetable, which was very nice and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice soap/shower... More
