Rivercene is a beautiful mansion built in 1864 by the Missouri River. The proprietors, Joe and Don, are restoring it to it's original elegance and are doing an amazing job! The rooms are filled with beautiful period furnishings that makes one feel like they have stepped back in time. The accommodations are very comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. The... More

Beautiful house, entertaining hosts, delicious breakfast. Historical property and very laid back would love to go back again soon. Easy access to the neighboring towns and wineries. We slept well and enjoyed the ghost stories and history lesson!.

We stayed here after seeing a play at Arrow Rock's Lyceum Theater. Don and Joe made us feel at home and were very accommodating. The mansion is beautiful and we enjoyed the tour Don gave us in the morning after breakfast. You can tell how much Don and Joe love this place and it's history. The breakfast was delicious, warm... Our group stayed here. We were met with warm hospitality and great accommodations. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The dinner we had prepared was delicious and well presented. The breakfast was incredible and was enough to take us many miles down the Katy trail. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is it.

I stayed here with friends who were building a house in the area. Could not have had a better time! Just reiterating what everyone says- Joe and Donn are great. Breakfast is made see from scratch and I was stuffed both mornings as I couldn't pass any of it up! There was an unexpected scare involving a manequin dressed in... More

We very much enjoyed our stay, Don and Joe are like visiting old friends, very warm and welcoming. The old mansion is fabulous and full of history and antiques. They are lovingly restoring this gem of the riverboat era. We can't wait to go back and see the progress!!

Fun stay in a historic B&B in Franklin Missouri. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Delicious breakfast (cup of fresh cut fruit, homemade cinnamon rolls and quiche). Don was a great host who shared lots of stories of the house and family from his extensive research. Definitely recommend!

First, I think there is only one bad review of this place, and I want to point out it was BEFORE the current owners took over! Now, down to business. What a great time we had this past Valentine's Day weekend!! My husband surprised me with this place and I was so happy with it. You kind of have to... More

Although a little off the highway and off by itself, this is a great B & B. It is worth the stay at Christmas just to see the decorated house. Joe fixed one of the best breakfasts I have had at a B & B. We left with zip lock bags with our cinnamon rolls. Historic Rocheport with its nice... More

I knew the original owners (decedents of the builder) and had visited the home often due to my parents being friends of the family. The home at that time was not totally restored, however had been brought back from decay with love and care. It was tasteful and beautiful during those years. I realize that the B&B had been let...
