Our group stayed here. We were met with warm hospitality and great accommodations. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The dinner we had prepared was delicious and well presented. The breakfast was incredible and was enough to take us many miles down the Katy trail. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is it.

I stayed here with friends who were building a house in the area. Could not have had a better time! Just reiterating what everyone says- Joe and Donn are great. Breakfast is made see from scratch and I was stuffed both mornings as I couldn't pass any of it up! There was an unexpected scare involving a manequin dressed in... More

We very much enjoyed our stay, Don and Joe are like visiting old friends, very warm and welcoming. The old mansion is fabulous and full of history and antiques. They are lovingly restoring this gem of the riverboat era. We can't wait to go back and see the progress!!

Fun stay in a historic B&B in Franklin Missouri. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Delicious breakfast (cup of fresh cut fruit, homemade cinnamon rolls and quiche). Don was a great host who shared lots of stories of the house and family from his extensive research. Definitely recommend!

First, I think there is only one bad review of this place, and I want to point out it was BEFORE the current owners took over! Now, down to business. What a great time we had this past Valentine's Day weekend!! My husband surprised me with this place and I was so happy with it. You kind of have to... More

Although a little off the highway and off by itself, this is a great B & B. It is worth the stay at Christmas just to see the decorated house. Joe fixed one of the best breakfasts I have had at a B & B. We left with zip lock bags with our cinnamon rolls. Historic Rocheport with its nice... More

I knew the original owners (decedents of the builder) and had visited the home often due to my parents being friends of the family. The home at that time was not totally restored, however had been brought back from decay with love and care. It was tasteful and beautiful during those years. I realize that the B&B had been let... Our party of 8, 6 of us over 60 and 2 around 30, gathered at Rivercene B&B for our third night on a 7 day ride on the Katy Trail. We were greeted by Don, a self proclaimed murder mystery writer and on of the 2 owners of the B&B. We did not meet his partner Joe until the next... More

My daughter and I had a great time at the Rivercene. Our hosts were so accommodating and interesting. The history of the house, the family, and the area came to life for us by seeing the old photos, paintings, and Don's wonderful storytelling. The house itself is like a museum and is so well preserved. The grounds are beautiful and... More

We spent two nights at Rivercene and are looking forward to returning. If you have a bicycle the Katy Trail passes right by and we enjoyed riding on it in both directions. Our room was large and very comfortable, the bed was great, and the breakfast wonderful. The entrance is an immediate right turn after crossing the Missouri River Bridge... More
