The hotel was really nice. The rooms were large and clean. The girl at the desk was friendly even though I interrupted her smoke break. Rooms were clean and spacious. Indoor pool was very nice. Actually had pool noodles for the kids to use. Staff was friendly. Very nice continental breakfast with a good variety. Terrific price. Always on the look out for hotels like this one! more

Stayed here over the Thanksgiving weekend, and was charged $10/night more than the quoted reserved rate. When I pointed this out to the desk clerk, he told me the manager would take care of it. Mt. Vernon is probably your best bet between Springfield and Joplin. The Super 8 is clean and new. The beds were a bit soft. Decent cable.
