We stayed here for a week. It is situated about a ten minute walk from town, and quite a dark walk at night as there are no street lights on Norfolk. The accommodation is a large bungalow style with separate bedroom, lounge/TV room, dining, kitchenette, bathroom and a verandah. Our Unit, Bourke 3, was located down a small slope close... More

This is a great place to stay, close to the main shopping area, quiet and restful sleep. You don't have to do anything, the airport transfers, hire car were all well organised so you don't have to think just enjoy the relaxing surroundings. we will definitely be going back...

The Governor's Lodge is an excellent place to stay - we stayed for 7 nights in one of the 'Executive' lodges. It was quiet, clean, warm (gas-heating if needed) spacious and well-equipped - a comfortable lounge area, separate bedroom (king bed) with plenty of storage space, a small kitchen area with table/chairs and a good size bathroom with walk-in shower.... Very clean, light and airy lodge. Great staff especially the lovely Emily whose beautiful smile greeted us and who helped us with a rental car issue we encountered mid week. Well situated just on the edge of the township.

I was there for a tennis tournament, and I really couldn't fault it. The rooms were lovely, and they had plenty of space with lounge and built in wardrobe with shelving. Kitchen only had a microwave- would have liked a toaster. Bathroom was good and shower pressure was great. The $10 lunches were great and very popular. I loved the... More

I liked the individual cabins with living/kitchenette and separate bedroom. Basic furniture in living and bedroom - nothing fancy - but good enough. As it was cool at night, and first thing in the morning, I was glad of the gas heating in the room. Bathroom also nothing fancy, but clean. Staff at Governor's were pleasant and helpful, but be... This is quite a large accommodation complex. We had a one bedroom cottage with a king-size bed. There was a TV in the lounge area and also one in the bedroom. Loved the place to bits because it was so quiet. We were there during the last week of the school summer holidays so I guess parents with kids had... More

I just spent a week at Governor's Lodge as part of a Norfolk Island holiday package. Accommodation is in individual self contained cabins with a separate bedroom (with king size bed) set in a lovely garden setting. We had bananas growing right outside our front door! The small kitchenette has a microwave, fridge and tea/coffee making equipment as well as... More

We spent a lovely week staying at Governor's Lodge in January. The individual chalets are large and very comfortable. Love the TVs in the bedroom as well as living room especially while on holiday. The surrounding gardens are very pretty. The shopping centre is only a 10 minute walk away. The cafe is great for breakfast and lunch and Bailey's... More

Our stay at "Governor's" was delightful, great ambience, gardens beautifully tropical, units spotlessly clean, no insects, tea and coffee making facilities and supplies adequate, beds comfortable and our stay was all round peaceful. Wendy and Mia went overboard to help me acquire medication I had been unable to get in Sydney, also thanks to hospital pharmacist. Waiting and housekeeping staff... More
