My wife and I spent a week at this great resort and the experience was tremendous, The staff could not have been more helpful in booking our tours and advising on the best places to visit. The resort itself was peaceful, clean and quiet. All the kitchen and cleaning staff were cheerful and friendly. It certainly made our stay more... More

Didn’t the sign at the front say “Luxury Resort” ? We have stayed at caravan park cabins and at luxury resorts and the cabin we stayed in is similar to a c’van park cabin. The first thing they wanted on arrival was our credit card number! We have recently stayed at motels at NZ and Aus. and most were above... More

An outstanding hotel, clean and modern stand alone units, easy parking. The staff are amazing, they work hard and long hours but always find a smile for you no matter how often you approach them. This includes the Restaurant and Café staff and the extremely competent Reception staff, who also make great coffee! We wish to return!

It is truly lovely reading such a wonderful review from two such lovely people. We really appreciate the time you have taken to tell the world of your wonderful experience on beautiful Norfolk Island and, of course, your thoughts on Governor's Lodge. We are very proud of our property and we know our guests enjoy their experience but it is... More

We stayed 3 nights, in a lovely little unit which was clean and fairly comfortable. Pillows were very thin and bed rather firm. But having said that we were happy with the room and the location but would give the restaurant a big miss. I suggest you take your own breakfast foods but noted that groceries in the supermarket are... More

We stayed three nights at this place, nice rooms great location. Very poor restaurant food was poorly prepared and in some cases inedible, they can't even make an omelette or scrambled eggs, eat at one of the many restaurants. Nice little bungalows and the tour company organised airport transfers and a hire car, if we returned to Norfolk Island we... More

The Governor's Lodge is an excellent place to stay. We stayed here for a week. It is situated about a ten minute walk from town, and quite a dark walk at night as there are no street lights on Norfolk, take a torch. Close to everything, great breakfast every morning. Helpful staff, clean, spacious and a small kitchen, large lounge... More

We stayed here for a week. It is situated about a ten minute walk from town, and quite a dark walk at night as there are no street lights on Norfolk. The accommodation is a large bungalow style with separate bedroom, lounge/TV room, dining, kitchenette, bathroom and a verandah. Our Unit, Bourke 3, was located down a small slope close... More

This is a great place to stay, close to the main shopping area, quiet and restful sleep. You don't have to do anything, the airport transfers, hire car were all well organised so you don't have to think just enjoy the relaxing surroundings. we will definitely be going back...
