Stayed over Christmas & New Year, arriving Christrmas Day. Although no restaurant was open they'd prepared a lovely picnic hamper for us with all the traditional goodies plus some local treats. Rooms are a bit dated but clean, quiet and comfortable so no biggie. Staff were really friendly & helpful, restaurant was ok but there are better eating options nearby.... More

Had a very pleasant stay. Rooms are comfortable but starting to need a bit of refurbishing. Management and staff very pleasant. The restaurant was good and there were others within a short walk. We had a hire car in our package which is essential to be able to make the most of Norfolk's scenery. Self catering is awkward as the... More

We recently spent a week at the Governor's Lodge. We found the Reception Staff, Wendy, Vere, and Lexie lead by "The Gov", Kerri-Anne to be friendly and helpful hosts. The resort is just over a kilometre from town (Burnt Pine) and not far from the historic site at Kingston. There are beautifully maintained gardens and the rooms are well equipped.... More

Our trip was for a week over the New Year and a first visit.Governors was an excellent choice, with Pinetree Tours offering excelling transfers from the Airport and comprehensive tours with local guides.

Governors Lodge is a very comfortable place to stay. The cottages are well appointed and whilst not modern, bright and shining they certainly reflect the atmosphere of the island. The staff are wonderful and we would especially like to commend Wendy, at the front desk, who did everything to make our stay comfortable. Position wise it is perfect. Only a... More

We were after a place to stay for a week and relax and not have to worry about anything else. Staying at the Governor's Lodge helped make that happen. It is situated just a little way out of town (Burnt Pine) but on the way to the historical area of Kingston. All the tours we were on came to pick... More

Spent 10 days here in mid December - very quiet. Helpful staff - always available to assist. It's a pity however that the restaurant wasn't open until the last day of our stay (and we weren't told in advance that it wouldn't be open). The cottage was comfortable and clean. Loved the king-size bed. No cooking facilities (except for the... More

Gov's is "resort" with small individual cottages well designed for people wanting a little space and independence. With a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and good sized lounge, there are home comforts and space to relax. It gets 10-12 Aussie TV stations, and they happily set-up a free DVD player for me on request. The reception is staffed from 8-6 daily with... More

Recently arrived back from a wonderful 7days on Norfolk, our villa at Governors was clean, bed, king size and very comfy, fridge sink and microwave if you required basic cooking. Buffet breakfasts were about a 8 out of 10 but the cooked breakfast menu was better. Baileys restaurant meals were good and reasonably priced. Reception staff were very helpful and... More
