Not only are the rooms 1970's ish. The place is filled with smoke. The casino machines are the tightest I've ever seen. Ever since harrahs left it. The place has gone to shhit. They cut corners everywhere. Way understaffed all the way down to valet.

Going to a casino you should expect to lose money unless luck is on your side. After staying here I realized after leaving I had left over $300 (my fault i know) of items in my room. I have called numerous times to only get transferred to lost and found and each every time I have been transferred to an... More

We were on our way to our final destination and decided to take an overnight break. Checking online with Priceline.com, we booked a room at this hotel because we wanted to gamble a little for entertainment as well for just one night....Holy Cow! Only after we had unloaded the luggage and carry it up to the counter did the staff... More

We booked a comped room for our anniversary and then I read all those nasty reviews. Let me tell you, we had no or low expectations. Used to stay here when Harrah's owned the property and the buffet was awful then. It's been about 2 years or so since we stayed. Now, we couldn't have been more pleased with the... More

Room was very nice but you have to walk a hundred yards or so to get there. We thought the price was high for a casino. I'm guessing most of the guests are locals who get there rooms partially or completely comped. We phoned ahead and the girl on the phone thought we might be too far away to get... More

With great hopes and expectations We often ask our friends to help decide to book a hotel or a venue that we would enjoy. I can tell of my complete disappointment with the "Hollywood Casino St Louis, located away from the city center. The rooms were clean but aged, Bathrooms retro fitted and over caulked, older furniture in the room... More

Hotel room was okay. There was a hair in the tub. Bed was comfy. Front desk personal were not friendly. Coffee everywhere in this place sucked. The Reserve steakhouse had excellent service from the hostess to the server. However, the food lacked taste-wise. The steak looked good, but had no taste. I wouldn't eat there again. The buffet wasn't good... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hollywood Casino hotel for our anniversary. We play there all the time but this was our first time staying there. Upon arrival to our room I found several pubic hairs in the tub !!! When I could not get on the internet I called the front desk for help and was told... More

If you want to pay the $47 fee, per night, and put up with having to trek through crowded hallways and take busy elevators, to eventually get to a little landscaping with rocks for your pet to relieve itself; then I guess this hotel is "pet-friendly". First, the lady with reservations gave me a stern lecture about their pet policy.... More

After reading some other negative reviews, I almost changed my hotel plans for a recent weekend trip but glad I stayed with my first choice -- to see how much the place changed when it changed hands. The service was excellent in the restaurants and the casino. My room was lovely and very clean. The casino was great fun and... More
