Awesome and helpful staff.. i arrived late on a friday nighth after dark. The girl in the office was helpful and cheerful.. even going as far as getting a security gaurd to help find a location to camp. I was super excited to see a quiet time and it was inforced and managed well.. The next morning we all got... More

We rented the bluff view cabin and spent a Saturday canoeing with 2 other families, we all had children under age 13 with us. The cabin was adorable, very new and modern but also very small. Ok for family with younger kids though. The campground area itself was just ok. The canoe trip itself was disappointing because the river was... More

Admittedly, we chose this outfitter due to a groupon which saved us about half the price on our canoe rentals. However, the staff was courteous and prompt, the facilities were clean, and it was overall a great experience for a river trip. I will use them again when I canoe the Niangua. I purposely planned our canoe trip on a... More

We purchased a Groupon deal for $69 for our family of 6 (5 adults, 1 teen) to camp one night and canoe down the Niangua ( which took us 3-4 hours). THAT is a great deal! This outfitter was a bit rustic, even so we had SO MUCH FUN and it was a real bargain! We went in the middle... More

I camped alone with my two sons from a Tues-Thurs in the middle of July 2014. The land is beautiful. Worth the 2 hr 45 min drive from St. Louis. We set up our tent close to the river, and my boys played for hours. The river is warm, with shallow areas, and a deep area in front of "the... More

Our group has come together annually for 30+ years. Through those camp and canoe adventures we've stayed at only a few campgrounds. We find a place and if it's clean and comfortable and near the water we call it home! There's no need to risk a crummy experience if we don't need to, so we don't. 2013 was a bad... More

Not my idea of fun. We were greeted with rudeness at check in when we they couldn't find our reservation, the campsite which was touted as very shady was shady only over the mud hole in back where there was no grass.( Campsite 31) Then the wildest party ever on the river. Very slow and impassable because of rafts lashed... More

Been coming here for 3 years. They are very friendly. Great cabins. If and when we have any issues they fix them ASAP. Allow well behaved pets. Never had a problem. Showers and bathrooms are well kept and clean.

Our group has been attending a annual float for many years at Riverfront. Our group will spend north of $1000 for a few days of camping. Every year we have received the same disrespect from the owners. Security coming by about music to loud, it gets turned down as requested. 15 minutes pass security is back we are talking and... More

Riverfront Campground is a large camp ground with plenty of space for setting up camp, plus room to move around. The grounds are clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly. Enjoyed the ease of the float. Canoes are ready and waiting. Just hop in and take off. The river was clean for the most part, full of turtles,... More
