Fading 2-stars are like aging rock stars...they once had a certain charm, but age takes its toll. Kirksville really needs a new 3-star hotel. There are surprisingly few hotel choices, especially for a college town, and all seem pretty similar in age, and stars.

Stayed for one night visiting my daughter at Truman. Check in was smooth, staff was very personable. Room was clean and more up to date than I thought it would be. Wireless internet was easy to connect to and speed was sufficient, although I did not attempt to stream video or audio. Free breakfast was a little more than the... More

Stayed at the Comfort Inn in Kirksville the night before the NE MO Triathlon at Thousand Hills State Park. Shared a double room with 2 others. The room was surprisingly large with plenty of room for us and all our stuff. Also a microwave, refrigerator, and in-room coffee is a great benefit for morning of the race as usually leave... More

Stayed here for one night while visiting the university. Check-in was easy and the receptionist was very pleasant. Room was simple but clean and the bed was comfortable. Needed to use the computer/printer to print some documents but was unable as the software was outdated. Other thank that small kink our stay was fine. Free breakfast the next morning was... More

The good: Hotel staff is super friendly, beds are extra comfortable--the down comforter is thick, warm, and clean as a whistle; bathroom clean, larger shower (expanded curtain rod), heat lamp, plenty of counter space; in room coffee not bad. Didn't get up in time for breakfast, eating area in front seemed clean and inviting. Non-smoking room smelled fresh (I'm a... More

We stayed at the Comfort Inn when visiting my niece at college. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. It had a little bit of a musty smell but not too bad. The bed was very comfortable. My suggestion is to purchase the piece of land next door and put in a pool. Overall it... More

Arriving in the early evening after a long, hot motorcycle ride, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the king room I was given. The prices were reasonable and the place was clean. In the morning, the coffee was plentiful and the breakfast had a better than expected selection of items. I like the location as it was easy... More

My father and I stayed here in November for opening weekend of rifle season. The room and bathroom were very clean. Bed was super comfortable, I actually checked the tag of the comforter and purchased one online. Common areas were clean. Very good variety of free breakfast, and I was pleased the breakfast was set-up early so that we could... More
