Just stayed for a night this past weekend. I have stayed in much nicer hotels for this amount of money, so I was disappointed. The positives.. The building is old and beautiful, the desk clerks are friendly, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Parking is valet only and is a complete nightmare. There is no valet stand... More

We happened to visit on the weekend of the NAIA basketball championship and a Maroon 5 concert, so it was very hectic. Check-in and valet parking were confusing and took a long time. Other than that, the experience was great. The hotel was very nice and close to everything. We were able to walk to the Sprint Center easily and... More

The location is great for any event in the area. The hotel is a renovated older property and has so much character. The bathrooms are small but you are only there for a visit so, hopefully, you can look past it. However, if you can not deal with a small bathroom, this probably isn't the place for you. Otherwise, it... More

Had a chance to stay here during a convention I was in town for. Upon entering the property you get a feeling its a little dated. I guess I'm not thrilled with the Black and Red color scheme. It could use a refresh to something more welcoming. At the check-in counter it was easy and hassle free. The room was... More

A few thoughtful renovations would allow this hotel to stay unique and historical, but meet the expectations of a business-traveler in 2015. For example, the elevators, although speedy and working, were tiny and could only fit a few people in them. The rooms were small, there were no fridges/microwaves in the rooms, and the windows were small locked up tightly.... More

The staff at the front desk at check-in were not friendly, but the staff in housekeeping were excellent. The television did not work half the time because the cable was not working correctly. The restaurant downstairs was very ill equipped. The credit card system did not work, and they did not have change for our bills. The water does not... More

We have season tickets to theater and this hotel is just a block away from Municipal Auditorium. We try different places to eat prior to the shows and decided to go to their restaurant for dinner. The hotel, along with being convenient to the power and light district, is very clean and the staff accommodating. The Aladdin Restaurant was quiet... More

Very unique hotel, formerly the Aladdin, right downtown across from the Municipal Auditorium and Bartle Hall. The parking garage across the street has an underground passage on the lower level to the hotel so you don't have to get out in the cold. Close to Kauffman Center and Power and Light District. Very clean would stay again.

This hotel is in a great location. Close to bars and restuarants in the power and light district. Unique and eclectic. Small but cute lobby. Gave us champagne when we checked in. Good romantic hotel. Cool little bar on the second floor. Small rooms, but very comfortable. Fun decorations and furniture.

Our room was a King size room and would be perfect for one person. However, it was my husband and myself so we were constantly in the way of each other. The hotel itself was very unique. A remodel would take this hotel to another level! We also would have appreciated paid parking. $12 for the night was a little... More

Thank you for your review. Our hotel is on the National Register of Historic Places, and offers a very unique boutique feel. Each room on each floor is a different size and configuration, so we are definitely not a cookie-cutter hotel. We hope you give us another try on your next trip to Kansas City.
