Tell you what.....nice room, downtown, plus individualized breakfast.....excellent value and stay overall. The restaurant is formal. They serve from the left and scrape crumbs between courses. For the money, this place is bar none. more

I had been looking for a historic place to get away for the weekend. So I starting searching places to stay in KC. I had seen a commercial for the Savoy Grill and when I looked it up saw that there was also a hotel. The pics on the website looked great so I decided to give it a try.... more

This is NOT your typical hotel!! They are in the middle of remodelling this OLD hotel & I mean OLD!! Yes, the parts that are finished are cool, BUT, if you get stuck in one of the OLD rooms, you WILL have a miserable night!! Yes, the heat is a radiator. Now, I have never seen or used radiator heat,... more

To be perfectly honest we booked this hotel for this past weekend because were desperate and saw some good reviews for it online (as well as some bad ones). We were bumped from another hotel the day before our stay (we had booked it at least a month in advance) and had to scramble to find something else within our... more

I am all for historical venues and places renovated to give a magical sense of what they once were. This property, however, was stopped in the process back in the mid-90s, and renovation is not scheduled to be restarted. So if you look at both the professional pictures and the reviewer pictures available on this website, you will get an... more

This was our third time to stay at the Savoy. Our room was charming but the bathroom sink leaked. We were moved to an equally charming room. The bed was very comfortable and just beautiful. The coffee maker was a little stubborn but did the job. How many places have real china coffee cups? One of our favorite parts of... more

My only complaint about this hotel is that I had forgotten how noisy steam heat is! The clankety-clank all night was not conducive to a good night's sleep, but as we were on our honeymoon, that wasn't an issue. The full breakfast the next morning (included in the price of the room) made up for it - when I saw... more

I travel almost weekly for business and stay in a LOT of different hotels. I'm not squeamish or in need of 4 star hotels, but I require a clean room with decent service. While the staff at the Savoy was friendly, I found the hotel lacking overall. There is a quaint charm that I can't really appreciate. For instance, the... more

My husband and I recently went to Kansas City to see Wicked. We chose the Hotel Savoy because it was a short walk to the Music Hall. Upon check-in we were upgraded to the nicest room in the hotel. The room was beautiful The living room had a flat screen TV with 12 foot ceilings. There were complimentary cookies and... more

My dad stayed at the Savoy at the end of October. Their front desk staff was courteous, helpful and, extremely honest. My dad reported that he signed some traveler's checks, left the front desk & was called a few minutes later to tell him he left one too many! The place is quite old, but well-maintained. Prices are extremely decent...I... more
