My sister and I paid a visit to Kansas City in May and couldn't have been happier with our choice of the Raphael. The renovated room had a lot of nice touches - like the well designed desk with lots of connections for our electronics, the single use Kuerig coffee maker all ready to go on its own credenza, two... more

My husband and I needed a weekend away from the day to day and decided on a quick visit to KC. After much debate we booked at the Raphael. We had stayed here years ago and had felt sort of so-so about the place. I could not believe the difference! The renovation is wonderful. We booked a Bed and Breakfast... more

I stayed here for 3 nights for an "all girls weekend". The hotel is beautiful on the outside and the lobby, though small, was nicely decorated and had free cookies & coffee. Also, its very close to KC Plaza which has a lot of great stores & restaurants. Those are really the only nice things I have to say about... more

We were wondering what to expect due to other reviews but we had a wonderful experience there. The location is awesome along the waterway and the newly decorated lobby felt chic. We were able to walk all around country club plaza and to the atkins museum easily. The room we stayed in was larger than we expected with a nice... more

We love to visit the Country Club Plaza at least once a year, and we always try to stay at the Raphael Hotel. It is an historic hotel with that feeling one gets when staying in a unique, wonderful hotel. We had a junior suite on the Plaza side with a fabulous view. The two-room suite was very large and... more

We chose the Raphael Hotel because of its location on the Plaza, and its historic character. First, the pros: the room was huge, with two beds, a sitting area, and a beautiful view of the Plaza, alight with holiday decorations. Everything was clean and comfortable, even though we were on the 4th floor, which had not yet been renovated. The... more

On check in were told hotel under construction, no heat after 7:00AM, and that restaurant closed. Were given a room where there was supposed to be heat but needed to sleep in a coat it was so cold and drafty. This was a gift B&B stay and were billed 350.00 then given 250.00 off to be billed 150.00 never having... more

This small European like hotel is in a wonderful location if you want to be within walking distance of lots of upscale shops and restaurants. My room was enormous - two beds, and a sofa bed. I was alone and it was larger than apartments I've lived in! I would have preferred brighter lighting - it was a bit too... more

We just returned from a four night stay at the Raphael and were delighted that we chose this hotel. We stayed in a two room suite(103) which had a spacious living room. Our room rate included a full breakfast which was as good as we have ever had with choices such as Grand Marnier french toast, steak and eggs, eggs... more

Everything was great. Location, people, room. COOKIES. Rained one evening so spent time on piano lounge - very relaxing and enjoyable. Got a great price thru Travelocity. And did I mention the cookies more
