My wife and I came to KC for my sisters wedding, and since we were bringing Grandma along, we wanted something a bit classier than a stale, generic hotel room. What we got at the Gladstone Manor B&B was a house full of history, charm, and courtesy. The hosts were absolutely wonderful, and we felt completely at ease with them, and in their home.
We rented the Lords Room for my wife and I, and the Maids Room for Grandma, and both were charming and comfortable.
Unfortunately, the wedding kept us out late, so we did not have time to take advantage of the pool table or hot tub, but we slept like babies in the comfortable beds, and woke up to a wonderful breakfast.
As a frequent business traveler, it was a refreshing change of pace to stay in a place with such character. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice relaxing getaway. It does not seem like a good place to bring small children, but any adult should appreciate what it has to offer. more
