The only good thing I can say is the location and the beds. For $200 you get nothing! I stayed at a motel in Branson and got better service. I would never stay here again. Stay away!!! more

We arrived earlier than expected and the hotel was very crowded with many travelers. Yet, the staff was efficient, professional and courteous. One young woman working at the reservation desk, Angela, was exceptional. Our room was clean and remarkably I had no complaints! The hotel is located in the Power and Light district with many restaurants and some shopping. It... more
Excellent location in the heart of downtown, KC MO. Easy-on, off highway, and from airport (right off, US-169 S). Lobby is nice and worthy of a Marriott brand. Rooms are comfortable and quite clean. Well designed with decent views. Added a bay window effect in the rooms, providing a more home-like feel and increased character. Pillows after a couple of... more
My complaint is not with the staff, it is with the hotel offerings. Only one mediocre restaurant in the main building, very poor internet service...hit or miss by the admission of their own service provider....coffee stand only open in the morning....housekeeping not attentive to the rooms...no wash cloths sometimes, sink stoppers not working....shouldn't housekeeping notice this before the guest complains?... more
Stayed at the hotel to be close to the Sprint Center. Hotel is in an AWESOME location - close to the Sprint Center and Power and Light District. There was no parking for the hotel - we had to find a place on the street - this made us nervous!!! Rooms were standard Marriott - nothing spectacular! The fitness club... more
My stay at this hotel was very nice. I think the rooms had been recently renovated. The light and power district which is a old part of town that they have revived with a bunch of different restaurants, bars and hang-out spots is about 4 to 5 blocks away - an easy walk. The convention center is right across the... more
Nice hotel in the Power & Light district, located right next to the KC Convention Center. Stayed in the Muehlebach Tower of the Marriott, which evidently Marriott built within the last 10 years, joining the historical Muehlebach Hotel with the Marriott. There is now a skybridge that connects the new tower with the Marriott. The rooms are nice, comfortable, and... more
We stayed here for a week for a conference and I was very impressed. I arrived on the train very late and the hotel staff helped me all along the way. Get your walking shoes on though this is a big place. The food for the conference was wonderful. They put on such a spread and again the staff were... more
The Marriot was a one of the hotels participating in the conference I was attending, so I chose them based on their proximity to the convention center-- just across the park and down the street. The hotel was very clean, well appointed, and comfy. Bed was great--very cushy, with great big fluffy duvet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Views from... more
Normally I enjoy staying at Marriott hotels, as they are very consistent and provide a quality stay. This hotel, however, was an exception. The hotel (both towers) appear dated with worn elevators and old-style Marriott carpets and wallpaper. The upper floors in the Annex Tower were, however, being updated but were being worked on at 10pm so you could hear... more
