Hotel is just right for business travelers. Nothing fancy, just a room to sleep and get ready for the day. Could use a refresh - carpets and furniture is starting to show wear. Rates are very reasonable. Close to downtown businesses.

Good hotel in downtown. Close to good dining and entertainment, especially Power and Light district. Remodel appears to be underway, nice downstairs area and fitness facility. Rooms OK, expect updates underway there as well. Great breakfast buffet. Check out College Basketball experience, short walk from hotel.

We got this room last minute through priceline at a great and I mean great price! Friendly staff and clean place. Rooms are average size and kept spotless. Lobby is beautiful even though I'm not sure why people care about that I never stay in the lobby longer than it takes to check in but I no some people do... More

I stayed in this hotel because it was convenient to my client's office in Kansas City and because I am Marriott Platinum and try to stay in Marriott properties when possible. The hotel was fine. I had checked in online and received a message that my room, early check-in as requested, was ready for me. When I arrived at the... More

I was at this hotel for a conference. The conference was also located on the premises. The room was nice. My only complaint was I was unable to get the thermostat to warmer air. When I asked a housekeeper she only spoke Spanish and couldn't understand me. The food provided by the hotel for the conference was very good. The... More

This past weekend was a quick getaway and I chose this hotel because of its location and price (good AAA rates). My room. 713, was immaculate and comfortable. The bed was the only hotel bed I've slept in that mirrored the comfort of my bed at home. That is a big plus! The room is located at the far west... More

This is an outstanding convention hotel and keeps high Marriott standards. We'll maintained: helpful staff: god predictable guest rooms. It is a Marriott. But for tourists in Kansas City, this is not for you because it is not in walking distance of anything you'd want to see. And K.C. Is not they greatest place for an out of Townes to... More

It was close to everything we did. The lobby is awesome. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are just average, ours was an end room so the stairs took up part of the bathroom and we had limited counter space because of it. Average rooms but location is good.

We are staying on the Melbach tower side, the walls are very thin . We could hear our neighbors and they weren't talking loud. The worst part is the court yard beneath the hotel has a concert going on (Mexican Independence day celebration) and it is so loud it has kept us up for two nights, and we tried to... More

I am sorry that you did not have a good overall experience during your stay. Thank you for the nice comments about our service though. I also apologize that the festival in the city park across the street from the hotel disturbed you during your stay. There are only a few events a year held in that venue and unfortunately... More

I have lowly silver elite status with Marriott this year, so I guess that's why I had such an average experience. Well, really what I mean is that unless you are truly "elite" with Marriott, I don't think you are provided a better experience. Let's start with the room. I was in room 1234, way at the end of the... More
