Great and safe location near the action in Paracas and close to Ballestas pier. The owner is very helpful, he speaks English, french, and arranges for the Islands visit very well. that was great because there was a lot of people!!!! we were in the newer building, which looks nice , with roof top, the rooms were clean and plenty hot... Stayed here one night and would look for somewhere else if I stayed in Paracas again. Can't seem to decide if it's a hostal o hotel but I'd say hostel. Small basic room, breakfast was lukewarm Nescaffe and 2 rolls, but no jam. Staff were a bit surely Does the job for one night.

We stayed here for 2 nights while in the paracas region, it was a very secure building, the staff were friendly, the room was clean. We had a few minor issues which was that you had to ring a door bell to get in where sometimes you were waiting a while, one day it was very noisy, there was building... More

Customer service is excellent. The desk manager is present at all hours offering assistance. Wi-fi connection proves better here than the rest of the town. Breakfast is basic but free. This location also seems very safe, manager keeps the door locked and has a guard during the night. If you arrive and the for is locked, ring the bell to... More

I stayed there in October, and the rooms are simple but clean. The location is excellent. Helpful personel. As in most hotels, it would be good if there could be some hooks were you could hang bags, jackets, towels,..

We stayed here three nights and enjoyed it a lot. Rooms were clean and service was very good. The owner is very helpful and friendly. A trip through the dunes including sandboarding was arranged on short notice at a fair price. Hotel is located very close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Overall this was very good value for money!... More

I tried emailing the Santa Maria Hostal but never received a reply after several attempts. That should have been my first clue. We arrived at the hostal in January 2013 and inquired about the rates. It's obviously a modest establishment so I was stunned when the bored-looking owner said 250 soles ($100). We declined and walked away but he then... More

Perfectly adequate, but nothing special, good for the one or two nights tourist spend in this town. Smallish rooms, but lots of light from a inside courtyard, no wifi, just one computer.Save and secure, close to everything.

We had planned to stay 4 nights at Backpacker's House across the street, but after one night there, we moved over to Hostal Santa Maria. For $15 more per night, we had a large triple room with a private bath and a balcony overlooking the main square. The room was impeccably clean and we felt very safe. It was a... More
