We booked this place based off reviews, but when we arrived, the entire place was under construction. As in, torn apart type of construction. We immediately decided to leave and find another hostel to stay in while in Paracas.

The hostel is still under construction but this didn't bother us because they work during the day. We booked a twin room with a private bathroom but Albert saw our reservation too late so we got a bigger room with a private bathroom for the same price. There is also a nice small patio to relax. It is a quiet... More

Paracas Backpacker's House is under construction. I think it has great potential but I would avoid it until construction is completed. We arrived and Alberto was super friendly and helpful - and for this, once construction is completed I would recommend it. However, for now, I would avoid it. It was loud and dusty - we stayed in a double... More

They also want to earn more, I get it, but just close down for a while and do a good job in less time. Lots of noise and because I had to walk underneath the construction site I was sprenkled with wet cement. Is probably going to be one of those huge backpacker places with too many people for the... Paracas Backpackers House is currently undergoing major building works (see photos) which means that there is dust covering everything, the kitchen is difficult to use as it has no walls, there is scaffolding obstructing walk ways and it is noisy. Whilst it could be a nice hostel look else where for the next few weeks. (Visited July 2015).

We should've listened to the other reviewer regarding construction! We turned up to a hostel consisting of only the reception. All the rooms appear to now be further down the road (and look temporary), ours was right next to the road and the metal gate used by everyone coming and going. Quite noisy! Our room was nothing more than plaster... More

The entire facility is under construction. I was put in a room at the new addition 50m down the road, no wifi, no hot water but was told otherwise--which sucked coming from sandboarding in the desert. My room was right next to the road and was only made of dry wall and concrete floor. Only had a push lock door... More

We stayed for two nights in this lovely hostel. The owner Alberto and his wife were really friendly and helpful from the first day we stayed. If something went wrong, Alberto was available immediately to fix it. The breakfast is not included in the price but there is a small kitchen for all guests. There is also small area to... More

I actually visited this place in January of 2014, but have not forgotten them due to the great experience I had and decided to come back and write a review about my stay here. Hopefully it has not changed too much, because it was great when I stayed there for 3 or 4 nights. I really remember the owners of... More

The rooms were ok, but everything else not really. No Wifi in the rooms, only some little hot water, really noisy in the night and light in the rooms during the night. The tour to the islas balllestas organised through the hostel left late and we had to wait another 50 minutes at the pier before we finally started, because... More
