After a not so fun day seeing the Nazca Lines and traveling from Lima, we traveled to la Hacienda in Paracas, which felt like a little hidden paradise. We were there in off-season so no one was in the pool and it was a bit too cold to swim, but we did use the hot tub and got great service... More

I was in this hotel for 2 nights and I felt in love of the hotel. The place is very romantic and the pool is awesome. I stayed in a suit which has the terrace conected to the pool, I was able to get into the pool just by walking ot of my room. I love the food, it was... More

I was doubting between the La Hacienda, Hilton and the top expensive one. I would recommend trying the other ones (not La Hacienda). Sadly enough I didn't compare so maybe they are all the same. Service is ok, hot tub was cold, pool was slimy, birds everywhere doing their thing. Rooms big but cold. Not a very charming place. Ballestas... More

... it was actually really nice. And yes, I am 100% sure I got it here. Incubation time is no longer than 12h and all I ate that day was served by the hotel restaurant. This would, in my book, only warrant a one-point deduction. However, when I mentioned at the front desk that I got food poisoning at their... More

This hotel exceeded all of our expectations! We put it at the same level as the Four Seasons in Punta Mita, Mexico. Our large room was ground floor, walked out to a large patio with table, chairs and Large Sofa. 10 more steps, and you are at an amazing pool. (not heated, it wakes you up). The food and bars... What to say ? This is fairly typical large expensive chain type hotel. Many rooms, many apparently deserted except when the tour groups come in .., On the plus side there is a lovely pool . The beach whilst not vey desirable for swimming is atmospheric with pelicans and other seabirds . Canoes are available free of charge. The hotel also... More

The grounds of this hotel are probably the most beautiful I have been to - it is gorgeous, and is kept in perfect condition by the staff. The swimming pool was lovely (and again immaculate), and a very relaxing place to be. Appreciated that you can try kayaking and paddle boarding free of charge, and they have great game facilities... This was a real surprise for our trip south of Lima. The rooms are spacious, the service courteous and attentive. The pool and surrounding area were reminiscent of some of the best hotels on the coast of Florida or California. We also liked the Air Conditioning that allowed us to wash some clothes and get them dried in A/C .... More

This is a very peaceful place on the bay. Our room overlooks an outstanding pool and the water. The cove is filled with small fish and anchovies and in the morning the bird watching is great. We say herons, pelicans, cormorants and more. The rooms are lovely, but the few drawbacks are: no bottled water for free to brush your... More

Bar and restaurant are very good, a nice variety of drinks and fusion dishes as well as good use of the local ingredients. Bar closes early though! The pool is one of the best in the area. Nice watersports selection. Priviledged location!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On the edge of the lovely Paracas Bay and surrounded by the sublime setting of the Paracas National Reserve sits La Hacienda Bahia Paracas, a hotel that is more than just a place to sleep; rather, it is a refuge, just three hours south of Lima, for anyone seeking peace and tranquility far from the hustle and bustle of the city. When you stay here, be prepared to experience sunsets beyond compare, perfect beaches as if created by Hollywood, nature bursting all around you, and utter, complete relaxation. There are times when you want to experience something unique, so we offer you our spectacular swimming pool that affords you a marvelous view of the bay. When you want a late afternoon snack, swing by our café; if you want to indulge yourself, arrange for a massage at the Oceano Spa, or if it is just a quiet spot where you can curl up with a good book, park yourself at a corner in the El Candelabro Lounge. If it is fine dining and excellent food you seek, then look no further than the El Coral Restaurant, and then end the day in the company of live Peruvian music in our Marineros Bar. For people who want adventure and nature, our hotel and restaurant have joined forces to create a huge list of outdoor activities. There is also our specially built museum/exhibition hall where we put on view more than 500 Pre-Hispanic artifacts: pottery, textile, metal, and feather art. It's a trip through Peru's rich cultural tradition. We have on display a collection of more than 1,000 sea shells that hail from all over the world; their vivid colors and unimaginable shapes prove to us that there is no higher art than what nature herself creates.Cecilia Alonso Ferrer; peruvian, with studies in the School of Arts at Catholic University in Lima, Peru.
