We came here to celebrate our 5th anniversary. Two other couples came with us. They loved it as much as we did the first time. The caretakers were wonderful, making delicious breakfasts every morning. They helped us make dinner reservations in Zijua, gave some of the only accurate directions we got in Mexico, and made us feel at home. Since... More

While travelling fairly economically in Mexico during high season is not too hard, we splurged a little to stay here to celebrate our 25th anniversary. It was clean, felt safe, and was quiet. The setting is amazing, steps from a massive surfing beach with the sound of the waves as your background noise. The all Mexican staff fed us an... More

This resort was great! We rented the two suites (Delfin and Papaya), and they were worth it! Open air rooms with mosquito net beds. Each room had a double and a single bed, both were provided with fans and water, and each had a sink, shower, and toilet. The resort is great, with a tranquil feel and beautiful views. There's... I've been a few times but have not written a well deserved review yet. You can tell by the other reviews that this place is pretty much as chill and relaxing as it gets. What more can you ask for? Your own infinity pool, clean rooms, super accommodating staff, ice cream fridge $1.00 beers and literally spitting distance to a... More

This place is heaven in earth for us, and we come at least once every year. It's clean, simple (do not expect any luxuries), comfortable and the staff is very nice. You have access to a full-equipped kitchen, rooms have a/c and wireless internet (but no phone). It has a great pool, and you'll find a very friendly cat named... More

Fantastic location, rooms, staff, pool, breakfasts, access to kitchen. But building work next door made it noisy. No rideable surf out front but lovely beach with turtles. Troncones – groceries and fruit / veg and fish trucks meant easy to self cater. Take lots of Mexican pesos as if spend US, get done on exchange (11p=US$1, not 12.6). If pay... More

First, this casa is in Troncones, north of Ixtapa and there are none of the trappings of high rise hotels and all inclusives. I am not sure why it is listed here. We loved our stay. It is small, quiet and well-managed. We were two couples and had rooms that opened onto the central casa. We were greeted warmly by... More

We have been to Troncones three times but Jan 09 was our first time at Delfin Sonreinte. This is a great spot if you have several people in your party who want to live family style in a big house (seperate bedrooms and bathrooms) with a shared kitchen and shared pool. I would go back but caution travelers who are... More

My wife and spent spring break with our teen age sons here, a perfect choice we were all saying "best vacation yet". Many relaxing places to laze, fun things to do and good things to do in all directions. Visit Martha's for a nice meal on the water. We felt well taken care of by staff who were helpful when... More
