The bungalows next to the beach are quite comfortable, never the less it's kind of pricy due to the size of the room. Bathroom is very clean and comfortable. The beach bar offers 25% discount so it makes it ok. Location it's good because everything is about 10 minutes walking. It might not be classy but there's an oxxo 5... More

We stayed at Junto Al Rio May 7-11. We loved the grounds, our bungalow, the people, and the access to Sayulita. We travelled as a family, so our kids (ages 15 and 11) were with us and we had a great setup with a bungalow looking at the beach that had a loft and great kitchen and dining porch. The... More

I always heard Sayulita was a sleepy little beach town. It is not. This place looked really nice when we first arrived. The palapas were fun and cute and right on the beach but they have a beach bar that was about 40 feet from our bungalow complete with music from noon on which made it difficult to relax and... More

We stayed for two nights in early April. It sounds fantastic, but the reality is a lot rougher. The smells from the water treatment plant are inescapable. The all-night music from the campground the next lot over kept us up until dawn. The music from the bar's loudspeaker started at noon and went until 9:00 or 10:00. A family set... More

Situated right next to the river, what isn't mentioned is that the stench of sewerage wafts over all day every day and all through the night. Given how expensive this place is, I don't recommend it. The bungalows themselves were nothing to write home about and weren't particularly clean (think cockroaches, alive and dead).

Wonderful bungalow everything was as it said in the description. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The sound of the waves lulling you to sleep was a bonus! Loved the jungle feel while being right on the beach. Danielle was amazing, funny and accommodating. Bringing us beers on the beach while we laid in the sun. Again the wifi was spotty... More

Rustic, peaceful, hammocks, mojitos in the hotel bar, sleeping with the sound of just the waves, simple but delightful accommodation, friendly but unobtrusive staff. A little bit of heaven out of season. Maybe in July and August the rooms are a little hot at night. Planned to stay just one night but stayed an extra and already looking forward to... More

We were looking for something beachfront, rustic and peaceful. It was all three but with some unexpected additions. Like the constant thump of bass every night from the nightclub a few metres away and the pungent smell of the water treatment, located plant literally next door. We paid about 70 USD per night in low-season, which seemed high considering that... More

Stayed for a week in one of the front bungalows in Feb, 2015. Loved that you could hear and see the ocean from the bed. Limited items in the kitchen but all you need to have a breakfast and quick lunch. So central and easy to walk to all the wonderful restaurants that Sayulita has to offer. Be sure to... More

Situated nicely between two excellent surf beaches, with it's own bar that serves delicious snacks and great Margeritas, Junto al Rio is great place to spend a few days or longer. It's not luxurious but very comfortable and affordable The staff is very accommodating and friendly and the "kitchenette", although limited, has all you need to prepare your own breakfasts... More
