We spent 3 fabulous weeks in Sayulita Mexico at Macondo Bungalows. Owners Charlie and Melanie Vinge are fabulous people. They provide everything that you need, are very helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. I highly recommend Macondo Bungalows.

Macondo is a couple of blocks from the surf break that tends to be less crowded. My boyfriend and I reserved the Sunrise room for a couple of days, and we considered it a steal @ $45. A mini-fridge, microwave, and water cooler provided for our needs, and allowed us to stay in our rooms for a couple of dinners... More

If you're wanting a peaceful stay! The novelty of this open-air room was quickly undermined by round the clock noise and no way to shut it out... Barking dogs, construction, roosters, loud music, traffic, and worst of all, the blaring speakers on trucks advertising everything from propane to construction services... We resorted to ear plugs to sleep at night! In... More

Macondo Bungalows will feel like your home away from home. It is located on the north side of the river, in the quieter area of Sayulita away from the noise of downtown clubs and music and yet never more than a 5 minute walk to anything. Mel and Charlie and their dog Koda (he will pose for photos if you... More

Fell in love with Sayulita and fell in love with Macondo Bungalows! Our first time renting a place other than the standard hotel and we absolutely loved it. Clean and the hosts are so welcoming and accommodating. We truly felt that this was our home staying with family! Close to everything, quiet and simply amazing. We stayed in the Traveller... More

My friend and I loved everything about Macondo. Seriously enjoyed every minute of our stay and did not want to leave. I really couldn't find something to complain about if I tried. I HIGHLY recommend Macondo, especially some of the best rates in town!

My friend and I stayed in the Terrace Bungalow for a week in February. We absolutely loved it. The apartment was clean, spacious, had a big eat in kitchen and a wrap around terrace. We cooked in the apartment a few times. Enjoyed sitting out on the terrace and people watching. The bedroom has 2 big closets, an armoire and... More

This was our second visit to Sayulita Dec 21 - Jan 1. Stayed at Macondo again and it was as great as the first time. Location to the main plaza and the beach are perfect. We had three of the units this time for our family and it worked out perfect. Charlie and Melanie are the perfect hosts and take... More

My husband and I stayed in Macondo Bungalows during our last trip to Sayulita. It's a cute house in a perfect location - close enough to the main town plaza to walk to (but far enough away to be able to sleep at night) and just a few blocks easy walk to the beach. There are towels, boogie boards, and... More
