I'm a retreat leader, and though I've led dance retreats in Sayulita for the past several years, this was my first visit to Haramara. This particular retreat (Dancing on our Graves) was all about death, and it was really important to me to find a locale that could offer us containment and privacy for such intimate, tender work, and the... Wow! I had heard from others and knew Haramara would be an amazing retreat center, but it was above and beyond my expectations. There is so much attention to detail that went in to creating this beautiful sanctuary. The staff is absolutely fantastic- so helpful, so genuinely nice and caring. I led a yoga retreat of 23 people and everyone... More

First the staff who are incredibly devoted to making this one of the greatest experiences of your life. The living is as basic as you might expect from perusing the website: sleeping in open air thatched roof huts, no electricity, wifi or cell reception, walking a steep stepped track between the huts, the yoga shalas, the pool, the beach and... I've taught and practiced at yoga retreat centers all over the world. Haramara does it better than anyone, and remains one of the most beautiful spots in the world. Alll appears effortless and clear, which is a testament to the enormous amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to make Haramara what it is--the gold standard of yoga... More

The retreat was fully booked when I arrived so i did not have a chance to check the other cabanas but diamante was amazing. It not close to the common areas -the restaurant, the pool etc- so you need to take a 5 minute walk (downhill/uphill) but it is very spacious and very well designed. I think the cabanas and... More

Hands down, the most amazing place I have ever stayed. Beautiful and magical. Stayed for a week and was still speechless at the views by the end of it!!! There is no electricity (except near pool and dining areas), but trust me with all the wonder and nature you will not miss it. Excellent staff, excellent owner. Wow. Just wow.... More

Haramara is a magical place. It's difficult to describe because it is not a hotel or a resort...those words don't do it justice. Haramara is so special, as soon as you walk onto the land, you feel an immediate change in the air and in yourself. I traveled here on a yoga retreat, looking for some serious relaxation. I got... Had a great time on the grounds of haramara - and really appreciated the week to disconnect and re-connect with myself and nature. The food was spectacular and staff was more than accommodating to our needs and also the request to have a cooking lesson with chef! Take advantage of the massage services and the hammocks. Highly recommend without hesitation

I spent five days at Haramara at the end of August at the height of the slow season. Although I was a little worried about the heat, the cabanas were breezy and the saltwater pool refreshing. The food and juices outstanding and the service friendly and attentive. The landscape is spiritual in a way that is hard to describe and... More
