Great views and restaurant. Do not miss the rock and gem shop next door. You need to go past the retail shop to the rock collection and museum which is outstanding and very impressive. Museum and University quality rocks and gems.

This was a unique hotel. It is owned by my sister-in-law's relatives. It has rooms in the main building, but also cabins which is where we stayed. It was like camping with a restaurant near by! The breakfast buffet was very good! Loved the homemade jams and breads! You can also tour the gift shop which carries jewelry made from... More

We stayed here for two nights and we really enjoyed our stay. Our room had a good size and also a balcony with a nice view of the village. The staff was service-minded and helpful. The location is very good for hiking and the staff at the hotel had lots of information about the nearby areas. The food was great!... More

Recommended by the tourist office as an eperience. Have stayed at other historic hotel so were expecting the same standard from their standard room. Bathroom poor, loose doorhandle and toilet seat, shower flooded the floor. Clean room, comfortable bed but very tired surroundings. Food disappointing after all the hype, small portions so glad we hadn't had a big day walking!

I had eaten at Fossheim before, and wanted to share this experience with my bf. When we arrived in Lom with our dog we decided to try get a room for the night as well. Unfortuneately they had no vaccancies in rooms where dogs would be allowed. The very helpful receptionist Frida, did her best to help us find rooms... More

Overall really enjoyed our stay. Fossheim menu & wine package delicious. Main criticism is the bathroom, which could have been cleaner, larger and more luxurious. Did not provide drying facilities for rain-soaked hikers, an essential based upon location.

It is old, has a style different from the newer hotels which often look all the same, both inside and outside. However it doesn`t help that it has hints of traditional charm, when it does not deliver on comfort and food NOthing wrong with the basics of the room we stayed in - the bed was comfortable and it actually... In the heart of Norway, you can find the the small village Lom. It's stunning ols fashioned buildings are quite impressive, and the hotel Fossheim consists of severeal buildings like this. We had booked a cabin in advance, named Ja, vi elsker. This was a nice, clean cabin, spacious and reasonable well equipped. At night we enjoyed a three course... More

We stopped here for one night after driving from Bergen en route to Trondheim. The village is an ideal point to stopover, as recommended by Tripadvisor posts. This hotel is not the only one in the village and I did notice a larger less traditional establishment which I think may have been cheaper in price, can t quite remember its... More

I stayed one night in the annex/motel. Lom is merely a crossroads with a few hotels, restaurants, stores, some local industry, and historic buildings. Everything is within walking distance. Front desk staff were helpful. Room reminded me of places we have stayed in the US Rockies near national parks. Lots of unfinished wood, indoor/outdoor carpet, simple twin beds, tiny dated... More
