My wife's found this place from a friend at work. Sue and Raving Roger (as he's called) are 2 Brits who have owned the place for 25 years. They were very helpful in suggesting things to do and see in the area. Our plane was late so we got in later than we expected so Sue had set aside a... More

We were here many years ago and decided to visit again on a trip to Europe. It was wonderful!! The hosts are knowledgeable and friendly. They are always ready to give pointers and advise about activities in the area. They truly make a person feel welcome. The hotel had a few updates that made it even more inviting. The food... More

This was the second time that we had stayed at the Camelia Auberge which is nestled in a village at the foot of the French Alps, just close enough to Annecy to allow an easy visit it that beautiful city but far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside. Our last visit was some 15 years... More

We were on a trip from Berlin to southern france and were looking for a place to stay overnight. It was already late when we by chance saw this lovely Auberge. We were very warmly welcomed with the whole family (2 adults and 3 kids), the wonderful hosts made everything possible to accomodate us and then we had a great... More

Charming Auberge with charming hosts. Warmly greeted by the 2 dogs and a very nice english couple speaking perfect french ! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the WiFi is free, the breakfast is simple and good (I would have liked a little more choice of local cheeses) and the place is very quiet in a country environment far from... After a quite delightful stay at this lovely Auberge in May, 2013, we were very pleased to hear that the hotel has once again returned to the 'founding management team' of Roger and Suzanne ~ any previous guests who have experienced the warmth of welcome on offer at Auberge Camelia from Roger and Suzanne, ably assisted by Django and A-T,... Warmly greeted by our host and the dog, we had a very nice stay in this charming auberge. The room was nice and clean, with a good bed and had a little balcony partly overgrown with what I think is wisteria. The breakfast was simple and good and the drive down into Annecy the next morning provided some very nice... More

Something had gone wrong with the booking but we were still greeted very amiably. The newish owner, Lionel, was happy to talk to us in English (despite my best efforts at French). The children loved the room as they could go up the little stairs to their domain. We had a great evening with a really tasty reblochon with potatoes... More
