We stayed here for 4 nights with our 4 year old son. The hotel is very beautiful with a lot of character and feeling of history. The main building is made of stone with typical Provençal style windows and shutters with a lovely courtyard which all of the rooms overlook. Our room, the Santa Theresa room was very spacious with... More

The room and bathroom were very spacious, and it felt like staying with friends in an old Mas deep in the countryside even if the city was actually quite close (not waking distance though). Despite the weather was extremely hot, every evening the air gets fresh and it is so very relaxing to eat out in the main courtyard. The... More

A perfect balance between "boutique" and "rural provincial", as if you were staying at some friend's home in Provence. Yes the service is not the professional 5* type, but everything is done to make you feel comfortable in an easy-going and relaxing way. Amateurism is charming when done with all efforts and a big smile. When you have diner in... More

We chose to stay here because it was very convenient for places in France which we had not previously visited: Carmargue and Alpilles areas; Arles, Nimes and Uzes. The hotel is set in spacious grounds and has a very good pool and table tennis table. Our air conditioned room and bathroom were both very large and comfortable. The continental breakfast... More

We were a little worried before arriving here, having read some negative reviews, but our experience was precisely the opposite. The owner couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming, while our room, and the rest of the hotel and grounds, was delightful. The breakfast was copious: the normal French breakfast but done very well - and available until after 11.00... More

We stayed here after finding the hotel in Alastair Sawday's "Special Places to Stay". Our party of four were sadly the only ones in the hotel so there was little atmosphere buy Pierre Valo, the proprietor, was welcoming and helpful with his chef discussing our dinner requirements in some detail. My wife is a coeliac and needs a gluten free... More

This mas has lovely and romantic rooms, all different furnished. They are very clean. In the middle place, the terrace is protected from the "Mistral" wind. Dinner is simple, but appreciated. "Le patron" is always willing to help, but don't hurry, it can take some time. There is a nice swimming pool. Tarascon is within the triangle of Nimes, Avignon... More

Classic example of an owner who doesn't care about the guest experience. We were checked in and out by a chambermaid! We were not told about breakfast, meals, drink etc or food available at the hotel. There are no room guides explaining the facilities in fact the only thing in the room was a 2009 magazine guide to the area... More

Stayed here for a night en route to the south coast. Beautiful building with lovely gardens and a great pool. The room was excellent with good air conditioning and a large bathroom. This is a family-run business set in an very old hunting lodge. It has been deorated sympathetically and with attention to detail. The owner, Pierre, has gone to... More

I feel very bad for not reviewing this hotel sooner as I received the best hospitality here from host and proprietier, Pierre and all his staff. We were welcomed after a long days cycling from another village by Pierre with a refreshing glass of iced lemonade. He seemed to read our mind and this was a great start and was... More
