We stayed two days at the lovely b&b of Michael Frost. We were most welcome and greeted like old friends. We had dinner both evenings and we enjoyed every minute and every bite of it. Michael is a great cook and a wonderful host and entertainer. Our room was very spacious and cosy. We did not miss anything. Surely we... More

Mas de la Rabassiere was a completely relaxing and lovely place to stay, with access to everything we required. It's true it is not some flashy hotel, but it was completely clean, and we wanted for nothing. Michael's help and advice was indispensable, given freely and with enthusiasm. His dinners, often local recipes using fresh ingredients, are also delicious, and... More

We arrived at Michael in the evening. He was waiting for us with chamber music and dinner. We had dinner with him in both evenings and we will like to do it again. He is a great chef, his provencale dishes are delicious and its marvelous personality impressed us very much. The domain is very nice. We will come again... More

I spent a lovely weekend with my girlfriend hosted by Michael. It was very nice and Michael provided to us with delicious meals . It is also a good place for sport i.e. running, biking and hiking in the country side. Also, if you want to eat local food spending a bit less than Michael's dinner there are plenty of... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in April and felt wonderfully looked after without being fussed over. A lovely wisteria covered terrace with pretty views and hammocks to laze in throughout the day was the perfect place to take breakfast...home-made pain au chocolat and croissants, local fig jam and freshly prepared scrambled eggs. We had the garden suite with its... More

We had a marvelous time at Mas de la Rabassière last week. Michael welcomed us with such warmth and hospitality that we immediately felt relaxed. The cozy fire in the drawing room and the welcoming glass, followed by a splendid 4-course dinner in the entertaining company of Michael and Eileen (other guest), gave us a perfect first evening! The bed... More

I have now stayed here thirteen times in 16 years Each stay is a total delight due to the location, the food but principally due to Michael Frost whose kindness and thoughtfulness is the hallmark of this haven of perfection in Provence Quod petis hic est..." what you seek is here"

I was surprised to read a few negative reviews and can only suggest some people are not suited to the more homely B/B arrangements and would be more comfortable in a hotel.where you are more likely to be pandered. We had a charming 4 days staying with Michael in his home in the olive grove. We had a down stairs... More

Our host gave us a very warm welcome, provided a fund of fun and information and went out of his way to be helpful and make our stay a pleasant and relaxing one. Rabassiere is a lovely house with lovely grounds with a superb view but quite difficult to find as it is on a remote road well out of... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and had great expectations based on the Sawday write-up. Our host could not have been more helpful, supportive (after a problem with our car) and engaging and we greatly enjoyed his company and conversation. However, although our rooms were spacious and clean, the bathrooms were very tired with flaking paint on ceilings and walls... More

Rabassiere, Owner at Mas de la Rabassiere, responded to this review

Though not all totally baseless, the criticisms regarding paint, the pool, aircraft noise and mould on the cheese seem to me to be exaggerated and none of these were mentioned during the stay. To understand why, the context is important. The guests had booked in for four nights but on the day after their arrival the driver cracked the sump... More
