Monsters Sainte Marie is a picturesque french village. Finding the hotel is difficult but it is very charming. You hear the waterfall next to the property. The proprietor gave us a choice of rooms and made a cup of tea for us because we arrived in the rain. Everyone in the town was extremely friendly and helpful. Nice large hotel... More

This charming hotel in the village of Ceramics - close to Gorges du Verdon and the magnificent lakes in this area- the village is just so stunning - the eating places are just so special - the ceramic shops a wonderful and it is the village where the famous artist - Bruno Louis works from - really worth a visit

Located very short walk up hill to town of moustier. Lovely old building with sunny garden for drinks or breakfast. Bedroom and bathroom basic but typically french. Clean. Outlook south from bedroom was lovely. Jean louis (pronounced 'jeanwe') was a great host and enjoyed a laugh and offering scrambled eggs for breakfast! Would definitely stay again when in area.

lost in translation perhaps? we did not start off to a good beginning. One, I was tired and expected to be greeted by the hotel personnel. I was not comfortable yelling out , "bonjour" and waiting for a response. two, did not appreciate the owner changing rooms on us after we checked in. three, beyond basic rooms and not much... More

Awesome country house. Awesome owners. Lovely rooms. Yay for air conditioning and the only sound during the evening was the babbling brook. The garden had lovely plants and stone walls, shady trees little tables and other seating- all up a real delight. Breakfast was very good a huge range of tastes were catered for and they made the best coffee... More

Like some other reviewers, we stayed here following a beautiful drive through Castellane and the Verdon Canyon. We arrived in the early afternoon to check in and then walk to the character filled village of Moustiers Sainte-Marie. Jean Louis is indeed memorable. A colorful character yes. Helpful? Absolutely. Cares about his guests? Oui! He was a quick responder with emails... More

First of all, this place is really more like a cross between a hotel and a large B&B - it is run by a colourful and eccentric local character, Jean-Louis, who tries his best to cater to your needs and tell you all about the interesting local sights and things to do in the area. First off, if you are... More

If you don't mind a 10min walk uphill to the centre of the village where you find a lot of nice restaurants this is a very good place to stay for a couple of nights. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. We also very much enjoyed to relax in the garden nipping a drink (there is a... More

This is small hotel in one of the tourist hotspots of Provence. Moustieres is a beautiful and interesting town with plenty of good restaurants and this authentic little place lies at the foot of it a steep but short climb up to the town centre. Very well situated but probably not ideal for older people in view of the climb.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our night here. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers and were wanting to escape the coast for a couple of days and explore the Verdon area. Despite the fact that it poured with rain (in August) we had lovely night here. The bedrooms were uncluttered spotless and spacious. All seemed freshly decorated. Breakfast... More
