I've now stayed a handful of times, not by my own choosing, but as a guest with extended family. The fishing is great and if that's what you're there for, you're set. However, if you're like me and want more from your vacation, I don't recommend it. The rooms certainly leave something to be desired. The amenities are lackluster. The... More

I stayed at Trout Hollow Lodge over a four day period in June 2014, for a family vacation.  The facility is located on the southern shore of Lake Taneycomo in Hollister, MO, and is a collection of cabins, condos, and a boat/fishing dock. This place is for fishing, and is set up for anglers.  The dock has several slips for... More

We have stayed here probably 25 times thru the years. We have been thru several sets of owners and they have all been very nice. This is an old school relaxing resort. It's not a high class hotel but if your looking for a quiet out of the way relaxing place to stay this is a great place. The dock... More

My friends and I have stayed at many places on Lake Taneycomo. Trout Hollow is right on the lakeand they have a great little fishing dock. They also have the best accomodations and the nicest boats. We come back here every year.

Beautiful place right on the water. The location is right across the street from a great Pizza place if you don't plan on cooking. We don't really fish, but love to just sit and watch the water roll on by when they have the water on. It's also a nice place to watch the sun come up and snuggle with... More

Went last November for a long weekend with kids, mostly boys. Decided to stay here because of the fishing dock and boats to rent. The location is perfect for my family because we go to Branson for the beauty, not the shows and lights. I would highly recommend this place for families wanting great bonding time.

I've been to THL every year for quite a while now. 8-10 years, maybe? Anyway, John (the owner) is very nice and will do just about whatever you need to keep you happy. The rooms are not extravagant by any means, but they are nice. I usually stay in the little cabin in the middle of the parking lot (Rm... More

We have stayed at this resort twice now and both times have been decent. The last time we took another couple with us so we stayed in room #22 which has two bedrooms and one bathrooom. The cabin was nice and had a full kitchen with a patio on the lake. The only problem we had with the room was... More

We've stayed here probably 3 times now, and each time has been just fine. As you can guess, we've been back, so we do like the property. It's right on the lake, with a really nice dock. The people who run the place are very nice and helpful. Always a great stay. One of the one-bedroom units that we've stayed... More

Stayed in Room #16, there was 4 adults, so we needed a 2 brm/2 bath. Nice unit served our needs. Bedrooms are small with a king or 2 twin beds. The location is private but close to everything. Our unit was not on the river but you could walk down a gravel path and sit at the boat dock, which... More
