We were two couples cycing the Katy Trail from Clinton to St. Charles, stopping off in Herman along the way. Rachel picked us/bikes up at the McKittrick Depot. She was delightful and so pleasant, agreeing to stop by the Loutre Market so we could pick up some cheese/fruit/snacks for the evening. Adrien and Kate are hosts with the most! Upon... More

My husband and I came to get away from our busy lives and celebrate my recent MSW. The location was beautiful, we loved staying in one of the cottages. The food was the best we had in the area, and the people that run the location are very friendly. They are welcoming and make your stay simply amazing! We loved... More

A beautiful setting right outside of town. The breakfasts were served at 9 a.m. Not too early! I love animals and enjoyed feeding the sheep and chickens. They also have 2 cats. I was in heaven. We are planning another trip for later this year.

We spent a night at the Alpenhorn for our first Anniversary. We stayed in the King Room and it was perfect. It was all we were hoping for and we would definitely recommend this place. We would love to go back sometime. It has a great charme to it, the rooms are lovely decorated, clean and just great to relax. Loved... More

My husband and I stayed for an extended weekend. This b&b was amazing. Very friendly. The chocolate and port package was outstanding. A must when you stay. We selected the little house. Perfect size for two people. We will be back.

My mother and I ventured to Hermann this past weekend, and my mother, having been to Hermann previously, had asked locals which B&B was the best since there are so many options in the town. Hands down, the Alpenhorn was the place to go. When she and I got there we were greeted by a variety of lovely landscaping features.... More

We booked a dinner date with the Apenhorn the weekend of the Chocolate Wine Trail based on reviews. We were not dissapointed. Kate, Adrian, and Racheal rival any upscale restaurant in any major city let alone a town of 2500. Class act and dining available in a small town. You will not be dissapointed. A lovely five course meal matched... More

Very Romantic...Made reservations and showed up to a candlelit B&B. The owner/waiter is very classy with a great sense of humor. The first 5 courses were amazing (never had better) and finished up dinner with the 5th course in a candlelit wine cellar. Will definitely go back (if I can get reservations). Compliments to chef and owner!!! SIMPLY DELIGHTFUL!!!

We stayed here for two nights the weekend after Christmas. Rather than stay in the inn itself, we opted for Das Landhaus, one of the separate cottages behind the inn, and it was a great choice -- private, cozy and immaculate. Breakfast was served each morning at 9:00 a.m. The set time was a little different than other B&Bs at... More

Hands down the best place to stay in Hermann. Just minutes from the city, the place made us feel like we were in beautiful woods somewhere far away. The breakfast was so great I would come back even just for their food. Kate and Adrian were such nice, friendly people and we felt so welcomed. The rooms are cozy and... More
