Just got home from a bike trip on the KATY trail where a real highlight was the welcome we received from Mark and Leaia at the Globe B&B in Hartsburg. They are new owners--busy with moving in their own belongings and a bit of redecorating--but they were nothing short of gracious in every way. We enjoyed visiting, sharing a piece... More

Mark & Leaia are the new owners of the Globe Hotel B&B and are amazing hosts. From the homemade lemonade and snacks as you get off the trail to the made to order omelets in the morning. They will even coordinate dinner for you if you request it as there aren't many options in Hartsburg after 2pm. As a long... More

We spent two nights with Mark and Leaia at the Globe B&B on our recent Katy Trail out and back ride. I can't say enough good things about their warm hospitality and attention to guests' needs. We really did feel as if we were staying at a friend's home and not just customers at a commercial lodging. The Globe is... More

After cycling 50 miles on the Katy Trail with my two boys, we were tired and hungry. The owners saw us pull in and came outside to greet us. They were so kind and helpful. They even fed us dinner although it was late in the evening. The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast omelet was the best I have ever... More

After cycling 50+ miles on the Katy Trail, we were exhausted and relieved to finally get to our destination, the Globe Hotel B&B. Jeanette was very personable and hospitable, but we were her "last" guests...meaning the next day she was 'closing' on her property and no longer owner of the B&B. The first floor was empty of all furniture except... More

This quiet, quaint B&B “Hotel” is really charming. The rooms are decorated in appropriate antique fashion and include a sink in each room which we found to be very useful. The bathrooms are shared, but that was not a problem – robes are provided in each room. We enjoyed having a cup of tea with Jeanette sitting in the drawing... More

Very comfortable and attractively decorated property located a block from the Katy Trail. Although not grand and luxurious, it is certainly cozy, clean and homey and a fantastic value for the money. The innkeeper, Jeannette, is very warm, friendly, likable and down to earth. Only two of her eleven cats are allowed in the house and none in the guest... More

We enjoyed our room with antique furniture. Wish we could have enticed a cat to sleep with us. We stayed here twice once on our way to Sedalia and once on our way to Augusta. Jeanette was very accommodating for both our late arrival and our early departure. Our stay was awesome. How many times on your life do you... More

The Globe dates back to the 19th century and has the look and feel to go with its age (and I mean this in a good way). It sits right next to the Katy Trail, so most of the guests are bikers. Jeannette, the owner/host, is a cat lady- I'm not sure that she really even knows how many cats... More

The Globe has rustic charm, and the proprietor, Jeanette, is super personable. Other reviewers mention her muffins: they're wonderful. When she offers you a few for the road, don't think about it; just slip 'em in your jersey pocket, and you'll be glad you did miles later up the beautiful Katy Trail.
