I would have to agree with travel-adict222 about the offensive smoking! We had to keep our windows open and a fan blowing "in" to keep the offensive cigarette smoke out and down to a minimum, but it did permeate the ENTIRE HOUSE. Ken and Deb should be understanding about HOW ABSOLUTELY OFFENSIVE AND DISGUSTING Cigarette or Tobacco smoke is to... More

Our stay here was disappointing. First of all, smokers should not live and smoke in their B & B. Their smoke permeates the home. We stayed in the 3 room suite, and the carpets were old and smelly, there was one tiny trash can in the bathroom for all the rooms (that was never emptied), the shower handle kept falling... More

The new owners are very nice. The mansion is rich in history. Ken is knowledgable about the home and the area. We stayed while the town festival was going on and I would highly recommend that too. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and there was a lot of room. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The... More

New owners. The place has lots of issues. The worst offense is that the owners smoke, so the entire house is smokey. Breakfast is very good. Place needs updating which the owner commented they were working on. The property is very old so some of the issues are understandable.

Walking distance from everything. The relatively new owners are working hard on restoration. There are still acoustic tiles in several rooms, but Ken plans to replace them with tin. We stayed in the Mezzanine room because it has a mini fridge that we needed (it's the only room with a fridge). Carpet was old and stained, 1970's era bathroom had... More

We love this bnb! We felt immersed in the history of the house and town from the moment we crossed the threshold. Ken and Deb, the new owners, have lovingly decorated with antiques and the house exudes their love for the house and its history. The rooms are spacious and cumfy, the full breakfast was yummy and plentiful. We will... More

To celebrate our anniversary we stayed in the historic Robards Mansion in Hannibal, MO. The new owners Ken & Debbie, were very nice and accomodating. We thought the value was very good compared to some of the other more pricey historic B&Bs in the area. Ken gave us a tour of the house with the history and we found all... More

Picked us up at the local airport...we were flying across the country! Decided we wanted to spend some time in the home we understand was built for Samuel Clements, AKA Mark Twain. Beautiful, comfortable, great location, good food! Could only be better if they had Great BBQ! Unfortunately it was explained to us they could not do lunch or dinner... More

We called a few hours before our planned arrival time looking for a place to stay in Hannibal. The host was gracious on the phone and did not hesitate to open their home to us. The rooms were beautiful and the house was rich in history. The history they shared was awesome. Both the host and hostess were able to... More

Our family stayed at The Robards Mansion twice now within the past two or so months. We had stayed in the Robards Suite both times we visited. Pictures do it no justice, nor do they in the case of any of the other available rooms we had a chance to take a look at and were graciously shown. It was... More
