The Wagon Wheel was our first stop at a motel on Rt. 66. The owners were great and the rooms are wonderful, each tucked into stone cottages! A wonderful gift shop also gave us an opportunity to talk with the owner. Lot's of murals to see in the town and a great Mexican restaurant! We enjoyed driving around and snapping... More

Stayed here on our route 66 trip. This place is great! Clean and beautifully renovated. It is such a great experience to be able to sit outside your room in such a quaint quiet town. We really enjoyed our stay and we will return.

What a cute place! The new owners have taken real pains to recreate a 1950s experience with 21st century accommodations. The office complex, which also once housed a cafe and service station now has been renovated with a gift shop housed in the old cafe and the service station sporting vintage gas pumps and a 1950 Chevrolet in the grease... We stayed here for it's old time charm. The rooms are recently renovated, clean and comfortable. We did find our room a little small and the layout was so that only one person could see the TV while laying in bed. There was very little space for "stuff". That said, we really enjoyed our stay there. We met several couples on... More

Our family stayed here on a trip from WI to Branson MO. We drove past it 2 years ago on our Route 66 trip and thought it would be great to stay there. We weren't disappointed. The hotel has been restored beautifully and the rooms are modern, with original touches. The staff are very friendly and you can tell they... More

I chose this motel from a Route 66 guidebook. I was not disappointed. It was quaint, clean, and loved the atmosphere. The rooms are small, but what does one expect for the age of the motel? Besides, I don't intend to spend too long in the room - just enough time to sleep on a comfy bed and freshen up... More

We stayed here during our cross-country trip on Route 66. The motel is absolutely beautiful on the exterior and interior. It is obvious the owner, Connie, takes great pride in the upkeep of her business. The wifi worked great. The only downside is that there isn't much to do in Cuba, but the chance to stay in such a wonderfully... More

We stayed here one night after a float trip. The motel itself is a historic, roadside stone structure with individual apartments in an attached row setting. All have exterior doors. You can park right outside your door. Our room was clean and updated with modern shower, sink (outside the bathroom), and flat screen tv. They also offer WI-fi. The room... More

The Wagon Wheel is quaint, cozy and clean! I was thrilled to stay in lodging that was built in the early days of Route 66, and in fact had stayed there a few times as a child. It was very nostalgic. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are very nice, too. The grounds are beautifully kept. It's nice... More

We spent the first night of our road trip at the Wagon Wheel. Everything in the room was perfect. Everything was so nice and clean, you could tell that the staff cares about the experience your going to have. The location is great. So peaceful and quiet, we had no trouble getting a great night's sleep.
