I booked a room and was charged for 2 nights instead of the one we wanted. You need to book through email which is not secure and seems ridiculous in this day. Although the town is cute and bbq restaurant next door is fantastic. Find a hotel in this town but don't stay here. The rooms are small and the... More

After sending a message asking for information about a double charge accusation and getting no response, I have come to the conclusion this review is not a review by a customer. We use secure online booking through our website with a place to agree to our cancellation policy if that could have been the problem. Waiting 5 months to write... More

The books on Route 66 recommend this motor court as the best place on the highway and they were absolutely correct. The nostalgia in this place is unbelievable. The owner is a lot of fun to talk with. The folks we met have stayed here countless times, reliving a time that was slower and more interesting. And the towels are... More

While doing Route 66 we planned on just chancing our luck on motels as we went. This is a lovely place with good facilities however as we were on a budget it was a lot more expensive than we wanted to spend. We had absolutely no problem with the motel at all. It was very clean and the staff were... More

A pleasant and clean room with a history to die for. The owner was friendly, informative and clearly passionate about what she does. Not a great deal to do in the area but the Big Rocker is a must. The infamous neon was superb.

Our stays at the Wagon Wheel are always a pleasant, comfortable experience. First of all the entire property has been completely renovated and there always seems to be Route 66 travelers either stopping by for a visit or staying for a night or two. Second of all is the huge deck and patio area that Connie Echols, the owner, has... More

Cuba is a small town, so it's a great place to go if you're wanting to get away. The Wagon Wheel is unique and vintage, but has been updated. It's not as authentic-feeling as some other vintage places we have been, but, the updates are nice and there are still a few vintage treats like the "magic fingers" bed that... More

I have stayed at the Wagon Wheel several times since the current owner, Connie Echols, purchased and re-modeled it nearly 5 years ago. My last visit was Oct. 17, 18, 2014. The rooms have always been cozy, the bed, comfortable, and the staff, friendly. A true Route 66 experience not to be missed.

If your looking for a nostalgic night this is the place to stay. The room was very clean (and very small) just what you would expect from this vintage motor court. But be warned, the original single pane wooden windows s are drafty in cold weather and the heater had trouble keeping up on the cold nite we were there.

Spent the night there on 10/31/14 for a concert at Wildwood Springs and was really very pleasantly surprised. Property and buildings were great, room was nice, clean and cozy. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Cuba is a wonderful stop along route 66 and this motel is one of the most iconic motels along the whole route. The location (right next door to a brilliant and equally iconic restaurant Missouri Hick BBQ) is fantastic and the rooms are laid out in a quaint village layout which is lovely. However, the room was just average and... More
