We had a family event in St. Louis the first weekend in August, 2007. Over twenty of us flew or drove in from different parts of the country. At the suggestion of one family member, everyone stayed at the Daniele. What a mistake! Our party consisted of five people. My husband, myself, my two stepdaughters, and a son-in-law. My husband... I booked this hotel when I could find no hotels near the airport the night before an early flight. It was about 10 minutes from the airport. The website I used claimed this was a 3 star hotel. While the lobby was easily 3 star, the service was easily this or higher. We arrived around 11 PM and the front... More

Booked room directly through hotel and paid $99.00 per night. As others have noted, the rooms have no tempature control and our room was very hot. Also, the hotel boasts that they have a limo available for transportation but when we requested to use it we were told that they currently did not have a driver for their limo. Staff... More

I booked this hotel at the last minute and BEFORE reading some of the nasty reviews. What I experienced was on par with a 3-star European (2-star Swiss) hotel. It was definitely NOT a "dump," as one recent review alleged. The public areas were tastefully decorated, even beautiful. I was having breakfast out with family, but I made a point... More

While visiting some friends near the St Louis suburb of Clayton, MO, my boyfriend and I booked a 3-star hotel through hotwire.com. The price was about $45/night for a king bed room. After we found out which hotel we were to be staying at I did a search on this hotel. The impression I got from the official hotel website... More

I booked my room for $42 a night through Hotwire--a terrific deal for this hotel, and the good rate is weighted into my overall evaluation. In a nutshell, this hotel is basically an unremodeled, smaller luxury hotel from the 1970's. Although some things are dated, they are basically well-maintained, and all items subject to wear, such as carpet, bedding, upholstered... More

This small friendly hotel lacks some amenities, but that lack is more than made up by the courteous, helpful, gracious personnel. They try to accommodate their guests every need.

We booked the Daniele through Hotwire for $42. This was a good value. Downtown St. Louis was only about 15 minutes by car. The hotel also has a Town Car shuttle to the rail station which is five minutes from the hotel. This hotel was very close the the Galleria and a very nice, upscale neighborhood of shops and restaraunts.... More

Probably pretty nice years ago, but now poorly maintained. Bathroom- holes in wall, sink rusted, musty and dingy. Room-dirty worn carpet, stained old worn wallpaper, big dust balls under beds, knob broken off heating unit so you couldn't adjust room temp and it was HOT! Beds were rickety and springs squeaked and headboards were loose so that they rocked and... More

We were very pleased with our stay at The Daniele. We were a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews but we were very pleased. We booked our room through Hotwire for ($38) a night. In a beautiful location and can walk to nearby restaurants as well!
