This Ritz should be used as a training ground for their staff. From check in to the meeting spaces to the outstanding club level this hotel may have some of the best staff we've ever encountered. The hotel is nice, in a decent location and has nice rooms, but the 5 stars given is for the best staff of any Ritz in recent memory!

My company held an event here for three days and we had a wonderful experience. Huge thanks to the whole team from beginning to end. Lydia and Nayden at the reception desk were so friendly and helpful! Our banquet managers and staff made the entire event go on without a hitch. This doesn't happen often. Olumide, Goran, Judith and Aldean were so professional and went above and beyond for us. The banquet staff I'd like to highlight include Ben, Richard and Akberet. Leslie who is apart of hotel staff was always a kind and friendly face. And last, but certainly not least, Shawket thank you so much! We'd love to continue using the Ritz-Carlton for our future events.

Stayed at the Ritz over the Christmas holiday and I can’t say enough about what a wonderful stay we had. The decorations were so beautiful and everything felt festive. I really appreciated the hot chocolate bar with treats and the warmed eggnog. The room, 1414, was perfect with the softest bed a beautiful view of the city. But what really put the stay at the top was the staff. From the people at the front desk to housekeeping to room service delivery, everyone we encountered was so kind and thoughtful. Next time we go to St Louis we will want to be there again.

Was here for a company Christmas party and was blown away! The staff were all very friendly & knowledgeable as well as being professional and helpful. Valet service was quick as well. While we did not eat in the restaurant, we did enjoy a catered meal in the ballroom and no detail was left unnoticed. Conveniently located to many other restaurants and St. Louis destinations.

In town for the weekend, about the only place to stay in St Louis for location and comfort. Especially the central location . Comfortable, well appointed rooms , lots of space, great view of downtown St Louis in the distance. Highly recommend.

I was here with friends over the summer and my stay was ok. The one huge oversight was the housekeeping dept failing to make up the room on a daily basis. I know daily housekeeping is a part of the stay at RC, and the mgr def responded appropriately when contacted about the oversight.

Great View, Great Club Level Staff and Lounge, Snacks and Meals were perfect. THere is even a private staircase on 17 that takes you directly to the club so no elevator waiting. Bedding, amenities, bathroom is perfect, especially the TV in the bathroom mirror. THe comfort level of this room is beyound compare, HOWEVER, in room 1718 the bed is DIRECTLY BELOW THE PREP KITCHEN for the club lounge so you will hear every jar opened, every bottle cap opened, every wine bottle uncorked, every vegatable chopped on the chopping board AND even the sound of flip flops from the kitchen staff, so plan on sleeping between 1am and 4 am because they are prepping food before and after that.

IF YOU COME TO ST LOUIS, YOU STAY HERE. There are so many good things to say about this property, not sure where to begin. First, and foremost, the people skills & customer service is best I have ever experienced and have stayed at more hotels than one can imagine. The valets, bell service and front desk were spectacular; I mean my car waiting with a/c cooled vehicle and bottle water in the car. Unreal. Brittany in sales is a star, came to check on us and make sure all was well with our stay, if we needed anything for our dog or help with anything in the hotel or local neighborhood. No better service than that! Jason the concierge was a star; brought my dog and they arranged a dog sitter plus checked on my little guy when we went out. THERE IS NO BETTER DOG HOTEL. PERIOD. END OF DISCUSSION. We arrived in the room to a fluffy dog beg, 2 dog bowls, and dog place mat and dogs treats. They even have a fresh, all-natural dog menu for you pups. No joke, the food in his bowl looked better than some restaurants we have eaten at. We were able to bring our dog in the lounge bar area, where we ordered delicious sushi, wings and fried ravioli. Room service, the lounge and the Michelin starred restaurant food was amazing. No reason to leave the property if you so desire. Our room was large, bathroom very well appointed with marble everywhere and housekeeping did an amazing job. Nothing better than a clean hotel, fab beds to sleep on and fluffy pillows. Breakfast is a must do, and if you are a coffee lover, they do it right. Their expresso, from Italy, could be the best I've tasted, and this is coming from a Starbuck's lover. If you and doing business in St Louis or if your child goes to school in the city, hands down this is the place to stay. Look forward to another stay soon!

Thought we would get the “5 star luxury experience”, but that did not happen. On the plus side: Every staff member we dealt with was courteous, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. On the minus side: When we arrived at the hotel entrance, and wanted to temporarily park to go in and register, there was absolutely no place to temporarily park. Every inch was taken up with parked cars. We continued driving to the self-parking structure, parked, and walked back to the hotel to register. At registration, we were “proudly” told that we were being given a room with a view of the St. Louis Arch. The clerk said that with a straight face. The Arch was very far away. If you held your thumb and forefinger together at arms length the Arch was about an inch wide. Also, because of the trees and buildings, we could only see about the upper 15% of the arch. Calling this a room with a view of the arch was ridiculous. What we did see mainly from our room was the concrete of the busy Forest Park Parkway. The carpet was worn out where you enter the room, and was stained in various places. One of the lamps next to the bed had a broken switch. The people who occupied the room before us evidently turned the light on and off by screwing the bulb in and out. I was able to remove the on-off knob and grab the stem of the switch and turn it on and off. The chaise lounge in the room was worn looking and lots of loose threads hanging out from the piping. The curtains that block out the window light had one of the plastic rods that is used to open and close the curtain missing. It became uncomfortably cold in the room. I turned the temperature setting from 68 up to 75 degrees and it made no difference. I pointed out to a man I believe was a supervisor of the housekeeping staff that the sanitizer dispenser on my floor outside the elevator was empty. He said it would be taken care of. I told this to him on Friday and when we left on Sunday, it was still empty. Outside the elevators on the lobby floor was free coffee service. My wife tried it. The coffee was cold and terrible. She threw it out. We went to have breakfast at the only restaurant in the building, Casa Don Alfonso, only to find out that it was booked solid with reservations. In my opinion, the in-house restaurant should be big enough to handle all of the people who wish to eat without leaving the hotel. The lobby was done in lots of dark woods and dark reds. Some might call that a luxurious look. We found it dark and dreary. Five star luxury? Nope, not by a long shot.

BLUF - If not for Scarlet at the front desk, I would rate my recent stay at the Ritz Carlton St. Louis a zero. My horrible experience - I stayed Aug 20th, 2023, and at approx. 1900, the hotel's A/C stopped working. I called the front desk at around 2000, 2130, and 2300. Each of these calls I was somewhat rudely told that there were no update and they'd have a manager call me back with options (I never recieced a call back). Mind you, it was around 100 degrees that day, so the room was 85+ (the walls were sweating). I went to the front desk after midnight to find no one, so I left for another hotel. I returned the next day to gather my lugage and checkout. I spoke to Scarlet and she was the first and only staff member empathetic and apologetic about the situation. I am sure she came to work that morning to an uncomfortable situation and having to deal with all of the upset guests, her attentiveness and authenticity was appreciated. While the hotel rooms are very nice and updated, most of the common areas are dated and somewhat dingy. I'm guessing the HVAC is outdated as well... I fully understand things happen that are out of staff members control, but aside from the one mentioned, all other staff interactions were lacking in customer service.
