Nice place to fish. Clean and beautiful area with picnic tables throughout. The water is clear and the fish are plentiful. Hard part is trying to figure out what the fish are after. Wholly Buggers in black or olive are good. Crackle backs. Midges is black, brown, green or red are good.

Went to Roaring River State Park the weekend of May 1st with our grandson's Boy Scout troop. About 25 scouts and 10 families there. Unable to get everyone in the same area of the campground because it was so crowded. Campground was nice and clean. Unless you trout fish, there is not much to do except hike various trails or... We stayed in a fourplex cabin during spring break. We started in one cabin but had to move after a small explosion occurred trying to turn on the stove top. The front desk at the inn was incredibly nice and helpful, allowed us to swap cabins, and were very helpful. The biggest issue we had was that the second cabin... More

From the dogwoods of spring to the bald eagles of winter, you are sure to be amazed at the natural breathtaking beauty of this park. My favorite place to take photos in the Ozarks. I enjoy the fall colors, the trout and trails and the ice caves that form from the natural springs trying to escape from the bluffs in... More

The trout hatchery is one of my favorite nature stops. Amazing place to see a natural cave spring fed trout fishery. One of Missouri’s oldest hatcheries, Roaring River Hatchery produces and stocks more than 250,000 rainbow trout each year. Most go to the 1.6 miles of trout stream that lie within the boundaries of Roaring River State Park.

Just place to relax and enjoy quality time with your family. The trout fishing is great even if you're not a expert fisherman. Very clean park with great facilities and lots of things to see and do. There is a very great tackle shop and they always have great advice and tips for the best places to catch trout. Highly... More

Nice clean park, stopped in for a picnic, watched the fishers, looked at the hatchery - neat little spot... kids would've loved to fish... we didn't stay overnight, but the lodge looked nice from the outside...

My family has camped hear several times and we always wondered what the lodge was like. We had a chance to stay because our camper was in the shop. The lodge itself is nice. I must say that the room and bathroom were clean. I was shocked to find the room still had a tube TV and that the cable... More

Beautiful area. Nice Lodge on outside. Lobby nice. Restaurant okay. BUT for the rooms..... The balcony rooms have locking doors to the balcony. Didn't know that because there was warning posted. Got locked out at 4 a.m. Yelled for help. Banged on door but realized no one was coming to help at that time. So had to get a chair... More
