There is a trout fish hatchery at the north end of the park that releases trout every day. (Catch and Keep season ends Oct. 31st) You can purchase fishing licenses at the Park store. There is a Lodge, with restaurant, cabins (1 or 2 bedrooms) and campgrounds. We have stayed in the updated, 2 bedroom cabin (sleeps 6, Murphy Bed... More

Really liked the lodge. It wasn't a bad rate and my kids loved it. Although we did miss having wifi.... and the tv's were old. We had a nice time there and enjoyed the trails and the hatchery. Beautiful this time of year with all the fall leaves and great weather cold first thing in the morning but by afternoon... More

Love the park but the E Melton Inn restaurant has a major issue. Are her 4 times and each time had to wait over an hour for our food. We were a group of 4 and have been coming for 15+ years and it's never been this bad. Wait staff never apologized for long wait Also would it be too... More

We went here because of a suggestion by my brother in law and we were so glad we did! Beautiful doesn't come close to covering it. Picturesque scenery, seriously looks like a postcard. Feed the trout and walk around and explore. We were here in June and dipped a toe in the river and loved it. Special swimming area is... More

Wonderful, cozy lodge with budget-friendly rates situated in Roaring Rivers State Park. Spacious, comfortable rooms (nothing fancy, but clean & quiet with nice views of the woods). The main lobby/restaurant area is made up of a huge room with woodsy furniture and decor and an enormous stone fireplace. The restaurant's menu is pretty diverse and well-priced. This lodge only operates... More

I've visited many state parks in several states, but this one is my favorite. I think it's one of the most beautiful places on earth. It also has nice campgrounds, cabins, and a nice lodge with a restaurant. It has a nice store for your camping and fishing supplies plus some of the best trout fishing around.

My family enjoys coming here twice a year for the past couple of generations. We've stayed at almost all the little motels up in town and all the little ones on the way down to the river, and we enjoy the cabins down in the park. Our latest visit was on par for the place. They don't always have the... More

I belong to a large organization that held a camp out at Roaring River this weekend. The park is beautiful, and the lodge lobby is tastefully decorated. However, the rooms left a lot to be desired and had a strange odor. However, the worst part were the women at the front desk. They were hateful, unhelpful, and downright rude. Will... More

A large group stayed in three cabins between July 31st and August 3rd of 2015. After a couple of days, my wife and I started itching. When quizzing the rest of our party, another couple in the next cabin also related tiny red circles on torso, arms, and legs that started to itch. I happened to have a dermatologist visit... More
