The trout hatchery is one of my favorite nature stops. Amazing place to see a natural cave spring fed trout fishery. One of Missouri’s oldest hatcheries, Roaring River Hatchery produces and stocks more than 250,000 rainbow trout each year. Most go to the 1.6 miles of trout stream that lie within the boundaries of Roaring River State Park.

Just place to relax and enjoy quality time with your family. The trout fishing is great even if you're not a expert fisherman. Very clean park with great facilities and lots of things to see and do. There is a very great tackle shop and they always have great advice and tips for the best places to catch trout. Highly... More

Nice clean park, stopped in for a picnic, watched the fishers, looked at the hatchery - neat little spot... kids would've loved to fish... we didn't stay overnight, but the lodge looked nice from the outside...

My family has camped hear several times and we always wondered what the lodge was like. We had a chance to stay because our camper was in the shop. The lodge itself is nice. I must say that the room and bathroom were clean. I was shocked to find the room still had a tube TV and that the cable... More

Beautiful area. Nice Lodge on outside. Lobby nice. Restaurant okay. BUT for the rooms..... The balcony rooms have locking doors to the balcony. Didn't know that because there was warning posted. Got locked out at 4 a.m. Yelled for help. Banged on door but realized no one was coming to help at that time. So had to get a chair... More

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Emory Melton Lodge here, as the center for our 50th high school reunion. Overall, the lodge is quite nice, with an impressive setting and lobby. There is a restaurant here, but I only had breakfast at it...which was good, but the service was very slow. Here are the areas that could... More

We have stayed at the lodge numerous times. The rooms are clean and roomy, beds comfortable. The restaurant is much improved from the past. Breakfast is good Ozark standard fare which is nothing fancy, but plenty of well-prepared and hot food. Lodge is a beautiful facility. As a state park facility, things are a little quirky, but it all works... More

The sites are nice size and not jammed up together, grassy, each have a nice table and fire pit. Watch where you choose your campsite because very few have water at each site and so if you r more than a few days think about where you can fill up. Our favorite spots are in campground one and really there... More

I have RV camped here for 43 years and still love to go to the park as many times a year as I can. For this region, this park has the best camping facilities with interesting hiking trails and nature programs during the summer. The park is excellent so expect quite a few neighbors, but the park is big enough... More

These rooms are fine if you are an elderly person who needs low beds, high toilets. The baths/ showers are like ones in a hospital or nursing home. Benches built into tub, and very awkward to bathe in - so don't try. For 100$ a night, I would look elsewhere. There has to be a better place for young couples... More
