The room did not look as good as shown on the web. Dark, dingy, old TV on the floor. Depressing and overpriced. Eerie lobby with candles burning and statue of some god. Person operating tried to tell me I would have to pay for two nights when I arrived late - after midnight.

My husband does contract labor and we were here 3 months. We got a king size bed. The room was clean, and non-smoking. The owners are very nice people, made sure we had everything we needed. The pool was clean and the ice maker worked. The bed was very comfortable, and it was quiet while we were here. We had... More

Older motel, as other reviews will say it does need updating, but it is clean. And in the middle of town, great location, easy to find restaurants. Good for one night stay, would stay again if passing through Carthage.

Just needed one night as I was passing through. Rates reasonable. Bed clean and comfortable. No noise. New carpet. I look for a clean room, reasonable rates, and pet policy. I don't need Wi-Fi (they have) or a swimming pool (they have) or even breakfast (they have - donuts, coffee, cereal, toast and jelly. Plenty for me.) An in-room 'frig... More

My husband, son, and I were headed home from vacation and needed a hotel for one night and stumbled upon this one. We got a double queen non smoking and paid $65.00. The motel is older and needs some updating but not a big deal. The room was clean and didn't smell, and the beds were comfortable. Didn't see the... More

Rooms were clean and price was reasonable. It was quiet. Need updating! Ice machine broken and several pop machine sitting there and not working Checkin was fine. Outside needs cleaning up. Clutter everywhere. Broom left outside our door and chairs thrown around. Upstairs looked worse.

The good news is that the people are friendly, the rates are reasonable and it appears relatively safe. The bad news is that the upstairs hallways (outdoors) are cluttered with furniture and such, the rooms are pretty dingy and aren't particularly clean. I can't say it was terrible, but it wasn't great either.

This is a family run hotel which charges a little more than your typical motel in exchange for what I experienced as a very well kept room. Mattress was good, room was reasonably clean. While the toilet did run in my room and the showerhead is the old style, these did not really affect the quality of my stay. Complimentary... More

Took because it was on the last leg of our trip and was a good price. Door lock was broken, bedspreads filthy, dirty smell, mold all around bathtub & all over bathroom ceiling, (no shower taken). So dirty, there was an actual COOKED pinto bean on the bench in the room. Drunk motel residents partying outside door, ice machine did... More

Pros: Friendly desk service. Room was clean, everything worked, good wi-fi (although I was close to office). Very quiet overnight & nice location, just down the street from some restaurants & Walmart. Cons: Dated & a bit shabby, especially exterior. Breakfast not worthwhile - 2 tubs of cereal & a box of donuts on the counter. No tables in tiny... More
