Jeanne, the hostess, was very friendly and helpful. Besides that, she put out a mighty fine breakfast with a bacon omelet, fresh fruit, and the works. The room was pleasant and relaxing. There are four bedrooms that are tastefully decorated. Thanks for a special treat and a pleasant visit.

The innkeepers, Jeanne and Michael, were very friendly and helpful and had everything arranged to make it convenient to come and go as desired. Their Victorian home had history and charm (beautiful stained glass windows), yet was comfortable with modern amenities. The double Jacuzzi was such a treat, and the room (Nathaniel Hawthorne) was tastefully decorated with a comfortable, high... More

We have stayed at many B&Bs and this was delightful. Quiet, comfortable and beautiful old home with so many antiques. 2 pump organs and a grand piano! The stain glass windows are such a delight to see and photo. All original. Breakfast was excellent all different for 3 mornings and ready on time. She was so helpful with directions and... More

My sister and I came back to the small town of Carthage in which we grew up. Staying at this B&B was part of our wonderful reliving of our childhood. The inn is lovely and gracious as is the owner, Jean. The food is scrumptious and most surprising, the mattresses are comfortable!! Highly recommend this for those who like to... More

My hubby & I recently stayed at the Grand Avenue B&B in Carthage, MO, following a concert at the Buffalo Run Cassino in Miami, OK. Carthage is a very charming area filled with turn of the century homes. The Grand Ave B&B was built in the 1890's and has the original stained glass windows and decor of the era. We... More

What a wonderful place this is. From the moment we arrived to the time we left it was simply wonderful. We where greeted warmly and given information about the town and restaurants that are yummy. The house is so beautiful and you can tell they really care about this 100+ year old home. We stayed in the Mark Twain room... More

The Grand ave. B&B is in a grand old Victorian residence. We enjoyed our one night stay. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was better than the free hotel offerings you find these days. The price was very reasonable. The neighborhood looked very walkable if you enjoy seeing grand old homes and we would have enjoyed walking around except... More

This was possibly the most restful and relaxing place we have ever stayed! Our hostess, Jeannie, welcomed us at the door and immediately made us feel right at home. The house is lovely and very well kept, and the time spent there was so peaceful and relaxing. After showing us around, Jeannie encouraged us to make ourselves at home. We... More

My wife and I stayed here 1/24-1/25/14, and was not disappointed in any way. Every aspect of our stay was exceptional. We were impressed with the house and the Hosts the moment she let us in the front door. If you enjoy the character of older homes, you'll enjoy the detail, and ambience of this B&B. We arrived late in... More

We stayed here for our anniversary since we couldn't get out of town until later. We live in a 130 yr old home, so I really enjoyed seeing different updates and finishing touches to make this house accommodate guests. --Loved the tile work and grout color change in the border around the Jacuzzi. At every Victorian Bed and Breakfast I... More
