This was our second stay at a renovated Route 66 original and were lucky to get in as there are only 6 renovated rooms and we hadn't booked. On arrival we were given a guided tour of the property by the lovely Debbie Dee before selecting our rooms. To maintain authenticity there are NO televisions, but each room is provided... More

From the moment we arrived, Debbie went out of her way to make us feel warmly welcomed. She spent close to an hour relating the wonderful history of the motel, showing us photos of the various transformations, and even showing us many of the individual rooms that have been loving restored to their former glory. Debbie also advised us on... More

We weren't even in Carthage because of Route 66. Having grown up and lived in southwest Missouri most of our lives, we are familiar with the famed car route and its history. However, we were just taking a couple of days away from our very busy lives and jobs prior to an upcoming even busier time. We had traveled to... More

Review alert - we love Mom & Pop motels. If you must have a spa and 200 channels move on as this isn't the place for you. On our first tour of Route 66 we found the Boots Court, but there was no availability. We vowed we would return and we did so! We loved it. Deb checked us in... More

Wonderful historic motel along Route 66. They have several rooms available and are currently working to restore the remaining rooms and the original green neon around the motel. The motel is clean, historic, comfortable and close to the historic town square that offers up antique stores, a coffee shop and so much more. The management team is very friendly and... More

My son and I drove Route 66 and voted Boots Court one of our favorite places to stay! The care that has gone into the restoration of this wonderful place is amazing. Each piece of furniture and fixture has been selected with TLC. We will definitely be back!!

I was attending a banquet with a 40s theme in Carthage and my husband suggested we make it a "full 40s night" and stay at the Boots. It was an awesome idea, and a lovely experience! The back portion of the property has been restored to it's 1940s glory. It was just what we needed! We have a 3 year... More

My wife Jody, Grandson Gavin & I had a fun nights stay at The Boots on Dec 12/20/2014 on our Route 66 vacation. A throw-back to the old days, very authentic. We didn't even miss the TV. This is a Perfect motel to stay at while on a Route 66 trip. You will feel like you traveled back in time... More

The owners are renovating the place as they go. But this is an awesome place from the past. When you go in to your room, they have the radio playing an old time station. The room is clean and has a fantastic vibe. Wood floors fit in so well. Everything was just fantastic. This is the type of place I... More

This place is adorable! They are restoring it to a 1940s motor court and doing a wonderful job! Each room is different. I was able to choose between two rooms and both were extremely clean and neat. Keep in mind however that it is a motor court and also trying to remain period friendly, so no gadgets in your room.... More

Thank you so much for alerting us to the noisy furnaces. They are the originals, installed in the 1940s, as far as we can tell, so they can take considerable maintenance to keep them running. We will alert our maintenance contractor and see what he can do to reduce the "clanging" noise. Otherwise, we hope you enjoyed your stay, and... More
