We used to camp at Compton and had a favorite spot. The Sims family used to run it and one year we had forgotten to make reservations and they contacted us to see if we wanted it that year! I was an early riser and old man Sims made sure that I was invited to share sunrise coffee with him... More

Our apologies for what you experienced 3 years ago. Things have changed for the better. The breakfast food prepared in the Whistle Stop Cafe is all prepared fresh, be it eggs, bacon, or pancakes. Our staff is eager to serve our guest anyway possible. We think you would be pleased. More

We had 2 adults our two 17 yr olds & our 15 yr old. We stayed in the lodge for one night which is a little older but still a good place to stay. Then we stayed 4 days in the deluxe cabin which was very nice and has alot of room. There are 3 pools one of those is... More

We were just up for the kids fall break and decided the lodge was the place for us. Yes, this is an older but well kept lodge. Loved the location by the indoor pool and we were just steps from our relatives that were in a 40 foot motorhome as well as an 18 foot travel trailer. While both were... More

When I first started going to Branson, we camped out at Compton Ridge, having children this was most economical. As the years went by, my children left home, and my husband and I progressed to the Lodge. Well, when the Sims decided to stop managing the place, and it was bought by whomever, it went from a friendly family atmosphere... More

We had our annual family reunion there this last year. The lodge was very nice with a great balcony running along the back of the hotel where you could sit in the evenings looking out over the forest. Everyone in our group enjoyed their stay. There was so much to do there that there is never a dull moment.

Our room was extremely clean, spacious, and comfortable. We had a kingsize bed, microwave, and a small refrigerator. There were two doors, the second one leading out to a deck with comfortable chairs. The deck overlooked trees in the back -- it was so quiet and inviting to sit out there. The staff were friendly, and interacted with smiles and... More

We had a large family reunion at Compton Ridge. The group rented rv sites, cabins, and the lodge/motel rooms. The staff went over & above to make the family welcome. Since this was in June, we shared the place witha lot of other people. Everyone I talked to seem to be enjoying Compton Ridge. We'll be back in the future.

Sad very sad when the women of the place are rude and not helpful at all. My daughter and I along with her two children rented the Family cabin for $547.00 the weekend of Labor day. Not only did we have to fight to get ICE(two medium bowls) in our cabin we also had to fight to get towels. Had... More

Compton Ridge does not furnish ice for our cabins or the house (Family Unit). There are ice trays in the cabinets for guest use. Ice is also sold in the store by the bag. Towels are refreshed every third day. Our apologizes that the female staff seems rude but they were only following policy. More

We arranged a family reunion at this campground and all of us made reservations , in June/July. When we arrived, most of the reservations had been "lost" because of a new booking system that had been installed. Instead of trying to accomodate us because of THEIR ERROR they became beligerant and hostile telling us that "they didn't have to do... More
