Great on every front and easily the best in town. Great service and all-round experience. The room had been recently updated and was clean, modern superbly decorated and very comfortable. In an excellent location and I loved the beer garden and the Southern cooking.

My wife found this hotel online and we booked it to try it out. It was a very nice hotel in the perfect location- close to downtown restaurants and bars and walking distance to MSU games. Gordon Ramsey has renovated this hotel as part of the Hotel Hell series and everything is fresh and bright. The rooms and bathrooms are... More

Just to let you know that the hotel has been completely updated by Gordon Ramsay on his television show. The pictures taken do not look like the hotel does now. The outside area is wonderful and the owners are awesome. Go to their website to see the way it looks now. Unfortunately I cant post my pictures because my memory... More

This hotel offers great quality food, service and is located perfectly. Everyone was very nice the owners are facinating people and the best feature in this hotel is the beer garden, the beer here is amazing! So is the food. Overall great stay and great trip! Great hotel.

This is a really nice hotel that is in a perfect location. The outdoor bar area is really nice as it provides an affable experience. The food was nice and was up to the standards of nearby eateries. The cleanliness was superb although we did receive a chipped cup at first but was easily switched out for a fresh one.... More

Just had our daughter's wedding weekend at Hotel Chester(rehearsal dinner and reception). Everything was wonderful. All the food was fantastic and the staff were so polite and helpful. They were very accommodating to what we wanted. Would definitely recommend whether looking for a wedding venue or just a great place to stay.

We loved this hotel! We had never been to Mississippi and didn't know quite what to expect. Hotel Chester is a lovely place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, including fresh fruit, outstanding coffee, and made-to-order items. The location was wonderful - near many one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants. We would... More

Everyone at the hotel was helpful and polite. The hotel is in a good location. The building did not exude the historic charm we were expecting. We paid for a Gordon Ramsay room, which was nicely furnished except the bathroom was the size of a closet and disappointing at this price point. We were also disappointed that the Gordon Ramsay... Hotel Chester is a little jewel in downtown Starkville. The old building is charming, the rooms are comfy, and the staff is friendly and eager to please. I loved the made-to-order breakfast, the great martini I had at the inside bar, and the pleasant atmosphere of the beer garden when it was warm enough to enjoy it. I'd definitely go... More

This is the most beautiful, charming, and cozy hotel I've stayed in while traveling in Mississippi. The pictures don't do it justice, and the service is OUTSTANDING. If given the choice, I don't know why anyone would stay in the Hilton "Garden" Inn when they can have all the authentic charm of historic downtown Starkville at The Chester. I checked... More
