We stayed with a large group for the weekend for a college fraternity benefit for a former MSU student. The event was I the hotel making it nice for us to stay there but the rooms were all very small we had a suite and it was adequate. But the next morning the service at breakfast was probably the rudest... More

Just stayed here the past week and the place was great. Cute hotel with a boutique style. Has a restaurant in the hotel called The Beer Garden. Has great food and a good selection of craft draft beer.

We came on a Thursday night to see the mighty Wildcasts of Kentucky silence the Mississipi State Fightin Palmeiros. KY lost but we still had a blast in Starkville...never thought I'd say that. The hotel staff were very friendly, they had a bowl of apples at the desk which was a welcome snack taken by our road weary kids. The... More

We just love this place. Friendly and very clean. They've now added a beer garden with lots of beers on tap and a good wine list also. The complimentary breakfast is so nice. You order what you want from the menu. This was our third stay with them and we will definitely be back again!

This was a great place! The people were friendly as is to be expected in a southern, historic hotel. The rooms are very small but I guess that is part of the historic charm. The outdoor restaraunt was quite charming. The ambiance was superb! I would give 5 stars but the following morning as we went down for breakfast, it... More

Hotel Chester was a wonderful surprise for me while traveling on a business trip. This place is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are expertly decorated, the historic charm is wonderful and really sets it apart from the surrounding locations, and the beer garden is a nice retreat from the norm. The bed was incredibly comfortable and made me want to lounge... More

Have had the pleasure to hold three business meetings at the hotel. The staff provided a meeting room, drinks, snacks and lunch. All of which were outstanding. Dave and his staff made everyone feel welcome.

The Chester is an old hotel that has beautifully renovated. Our room for my wife and I was spacious with a couch and a very comfortable bed and immaculately clean (as is the whole hotel) The room comes with breakfast and not just "a corporate waffle" found with the chain motels, but prepared by a chef from a very nice... This place spoiled us! The staff was so understanding when we had to delay our arrival (American Airlines SNAFU) by 24 hours. We had a lovely queen-size room, but when David heard that we would be returning later in the week, he offered us a larger king-size with a veranda view and easy access to the Beer Garden. The breakfasts... More

Second time to stay at the Historic Hotel Chester, and it was like coming home. David and all of the staff were gracious. Our Queen room was spacious and cozy, at the same time. Totally recommend staying here. Also, dinner at The Beer Garden was top notch yummy!
