We are driving an hour home at 1:30 AM to get away from this place after getting a refund! (Took forever to reach the man at the desk) Knew that this hotel was not nice but was cheap and decent location for walking to game/bars, and could look past: sketchy looking environment, broken windows in room we walked past, foul... This hotel is very run down. It appears EVERY door has been broken into, which is a bit of a worry. The rooms are very old and smelly and the staff, while not rude, were not very pleasant. The best part about this place is the bar located in the carpark! (Dave's Dark Horse Tavern) What a great bunch of... More

The old saying you get what you pay for is so true. My friend got dumped here by her father when he was taking her to vet school. She had no phone, could not make collect calls an the operators did not speak ENGLISH well enough to help when I couldn't get through to her room. When I told them... More

We called around to every hotel in Starkville for football game night. Only one other hotel had rooms, but they were $300 per night. The Regal was only $79 and we were just looking for a place to crash so we wouldn't have to drink and drive. The room we were in had new tile and carpet, so it wasn't... More

Traveled to Starkville, MS for the Starkville Indoor Kart Nationals kart race and had reservations. When we arrived there was absolutely NO parking due to the bar that was on the premises. When we were finally able to park, about an hour later which was about 12:30 am, we went to the room, walked in & discovered it had holes... More

Terrible excuse of a hotel. The rooms are dirty and smoky. We even spotted blood in the bathroom. I don't think they have any kind of cleaning service. When we asked for a refund or to talk to an owner/manager, the only response we got was, "No refunds and the owner is out of town and cannot be reached." The... More

Had a change of plans last minute and looked to book a room in Starkville for a football game. All that was left were "single rooms" that consisted of one double bed, but they provided sheets and pillows for the air mattress we(myself and one friend) brought. Bottom line is for $49 a night on a game day weekend, you... More
