This property is a destination in its own right. My stay at the Oak Square was so pleasant I decided to stay an extra night. My room was spectacular with an updated bathroom, strong wifi and porch area. The very well kept and expansive garden makes for a great spot to just hangout and relax. I stayed in October and... My friend and I stayed at the Oak Square Country Inn in Port Gibson during our ride of the Natchez Trace and we could have not been more pleased! My friend and I each had very large, beautiful, antebellum rooms completely decorated with period antiques. The delicious breakfast was more than we could eat and we had been biking 60... More

Truly enjoyed the two night stay at Oak Square. Our hosts bent over backwards to please us and others who have stayed there. Would definitely recommend to other travelers especially if you are traveling by bike. The hosts are very familiar with the entire area and gave excellent directions for visits to the historic places throughout the county. Each room... More

We stayed here as part of our trip along the Natchez Trace parkway. This is a beautiful antebellum mansion that is undergoing a slow, but loving restoration by its owners. Hotel rooms are in several annex cottages that are also on the property. Our was the Jefferson Davis room that is furnished in period antiques. Bathroom is comfortable and modern.... More

My friend and I spent our spring break this year touring old houses and mansions of the South, and Port Gibson was a natural stop on our tour. We were delighted to stay at Oak Square, right on the historic Church Street. The rooms were beautiful, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was immensely large and wonderful. We had... More

Oak Square Inn is a dreamy and majestic walk back through time to the Old South. The grounds are exceptionally well cared for and immaculate. Breakfast is served every morning and in a much plentiful supply. The owner of Oak Square Inn, Miss Debra Turviance, is a charming and sincere landlady whose knowledge of Port Gibson and Mississippi history is... More

We came into town late after seeing Windsor. I found their number on my GPS and called. Although it was the off-season they were quick to send Lang to open the house for us. We ended up having the whole house to ourselves that night which was nice. Lang was very nice and even brought me a pluggin adapter for... More

From the delightful greeting, to the fond farewell, our visit to the Oak Square Country Inn was a perfect pleasure! Deborah and Lang are premiere hosts; dedicated to their guests' comfort. The rooms are opulent, comfortable and perfectly maintained. Port Gibson's sites were made all the more interesting because Deborah and Lang were so gracious and willing to share the... More

This place is awesome and was so convenient for us as we had to be in bith Vicksurg and Natchez - was great so we could easily get to both places and meet back in the afternoon. The staff were most accommodating for our needs! What can I say about the breakfast - just great - one of the best... More

It's a lovely home although no one can stay in the main residence. The hostess was very nice and charming. The breakfast was lousy. My cell phone was stolen here. I left it on the dresser and locked the door--my mistake I realize now to leave it out. So, be careful what you leave in the room. They were unsympathetic... More

The management of this hotel was very sympathetic to the loss of the guest's cell phone and was very helpful to this guest with utmost courtesy and consideration. At the guest's request, management called police for an official written report to enable the guest to file with her insurance carrier for cell phone replacement. Officer responded within 10 minutes of... More
