Oliver-Britt House is now called the 512 Inn and it has been remodelled. I had stayed at this B&B several years ago prior to the remodel and was really impressed by the work that has been done on it. It's located on a quiet residential street just a few short blocks from the Square..an ideal location. The rooms have been... more

As a member of two couples traveling to Oxford for the first time, I was primarily concerned with location. We were traveling to see a concert at the restored Lyric theater on the Square, and I preferred accomodations within walking distance. I was concerned about previous reviews of the Oliver Britt House (now known, I believe, as the 512), but... more

The interior remoldeling is nice. Modern furniture. Exterior paint is not so lovely. They painted over the existing paint w/o sanding it. Very comfortable room. The problem was that they were doing a photo shoot for a website, but did so very early in the morning waking me up. more

My husband and I were looking for a place for the weekend of graduation at Ole Miss and wanted something different. My daughter (who was graduating) suggested the Oliver-Britt House. It was a delightful stay. The room was charming and the bed comfortable. The claw foot bathtub was different but we were in a house that dated back to the... more

The place is a bit quirky but that adds to the charm. When I checked in you picked up the key with your name on it on the front table. The room was very clean and had all the basic hotel services (with the exception of wireless). The location cannot be beat;you are a three minute walk from Oxford Square... more

We went to Oxford for an overnight getaway from Memphis & absolutely loved the Oliver Britt House. I was a little nervous because of 2 bad reviews I had read, but took a chance and am so glad we did. Ms Ilene is a wonderful host & breakfast was great as well. We stayed in Room #5. The bed was... more

We spent the night in the Oliver-Britt House while visiting our children in Oxford. The house once was nice, no doubt, but it is old and has not be updated and kept up. The carpet on the stairs is very worn, the furniture looks the same. The paint on the house, inside and out is peeling. There was a smoke... more

After reading various reviews, my husband and I thought that we would stay at the Oliver Britt while in Oxford for the Ole Miss baseball games. The place is a dump. I don't think it's been painted since being initially refurbished. There are water stains on the ceilings. The hallways are dark with just a bulb hanging down. The furniture... more

I recently completed my trip to Oxford, Mississippi. I wasn't sure what to expect and came away so happy with my trip. The people of Oxford are wonderful. Its great to walk down the street and people actually greet you, say Hello, Good Morning, and are happy to assist you with your needs. I stayed in the Oliver-Britt House Bed... more
