Normally, I'm a fan of Residence Inns. This property, however, is in very poor condition and overpriced. Frankly, I don't know how they are keeping their Marriott affiliation. Pros - Location is very convenient to downtown Jackson. - Breakfast was good. - Staff were pleasant. Cons - Rooms and suites are old, furniture was in poor condition, carpet was stained,... more

We stopped here to crash on our way to the Mississipi Gulf Coast. Pros: Easy to get to off highway, large room with kitchen, more like a studio apartment, free breakfast, decent pool and hottub, value because of priceline bid Cons: Horrible Traffic Noise from Freeway, (we had to turn on exhaust fans in kitchen and bathroom to drown out... more

If you like the concept of Residence Inn (a large, "homey" room with kitchenette, sofa & coffee table, etc.) then this is the hotel for you. I've stayed at other Residence Inn properties and some are quite rundown and ratty; this particular one appeared to have been renovated, and was comfortable and clean. Drawback to this type of apartment-style layout... more

Easy to reserve and had no problems with the staff. Was not very impressed with the room as it was much like that of a studio apartment with an uncomfortable couch, hard bed and stove from the eighties. The only cookware provided was a huge pot, deep frying pan, and a few utensils. Nothing you would use if you were... more

After I booked this hotel through priceline I decided to read some reviews and was worried as some were not good. Our stay was fantastic! Yes it is located by a busy highway so we asked for a room in the back - we never heard any traffic. We were on the 1st floor (room 1314) and everything was exceptionally... more

I travel quite a bit with my work and stayed here years ago and it was nice. But this time a total different story. This hotel is run down. It is in need of some major renovations both inside and out. On the outside, rotting wood, and in need of a good coat of paint. In the building next to... more

Rooms are totally different from the pictures on their website. Thought we were getting a living room with pullout bed and a bedroom. It was just one big room. The room was clean but definitely needs some updates. The carpet in our room was really dirty and worn. The breakfast was cold and there was not a good selection. I... more

I spent 11 days here. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast good. The social hour spread in the evening was generally awful - corn dogs, chicken noodle soup. There's a great walking path around the hotel and you can get a free pass to the YMCA facility that is within walking distance. The facility needs some TLC -... more

We booked a week-long reservation but checked out after only one night! First, this hotel should NOT be a Marriott. We are Marriott platinum members and stay at dozens of Marriotts every year, including lots of Residence Inn hotels. This is by far THE WORST Marriott we've ever been to. You pay Marriott prices but the hotel is like a... more

I was disappointed with the hotel. First of all when I arrived food was out in th parking lot; paper was scattered on the ground. Checking in was nice; the suite....what can I say or where do I start. Plugs are in the middle of the floor, furniture was extremely filthy expecically the chair; I actually had to cover the... more
