This hotel has a lot of history and has recently gone through some renovations. It is located very close to the capital in Jackson. We always stay here on business trips to Jackson. The staff is very friendly. The only downside there is not an on site gym.

The Old Capitol Inn is centrally located downtown and is a lovely boutique hotel with excellent rooms and amenities. We especially enjoyed the free wine and cheese from 5 to 6 p.m., which we savored in the outdoor courtyard watching the koi pond. Our moderately priced room (we actually stayed at a Hampton Inn on the trip that cost more... More

If you appreciate vintage city hotels give the Old Capitol Inn a try. Renovations and interior design touches are great. $150 per night for a nice suite with 2 large rooms and bath. In November we opened the balcony doors overlooking State St. for fresh air and ringing church chimes. Preston the desk clerk poured a glass of Crown Royal... More

An excellent hotel, beautifully appointed with big rooms, luxury bathrooms and large comfortable beds. There is free parking on site and free internet. There is also a free breakfast but we missed it as it stopped at 9:30 which I felt was a bit early on a Sunday. The reception recommended a excellent club 2 blocks away for a meal... More

This hotel is exceptionally beautiful both in the common areas and in the guest rooms. We had two rooms and both were fabulously decorated. We were in town for a family wedding with multiple family members staying here at the same time so we were able to see several of the rooms. They were all decorated differently, but all were... This hotel is fairly posh, and when we checked in we were amazed when we opened the door of room 18 on the 3rd floor - it was a very swish suite and our reaction was WOW!!!, We've done really well here!.. It didn't take long to see that someone else's belongings were already in the room though and when... More

No two rooms are alike and they have balconies! They helped me with a company conference and with friends trip. Parking is free and gated for extra security. It's also a great place for an event. Highly recommend!

I saw photos of this hotel online and just had to book for a night while in Jackson. It was absolutely charming. Our room was impeccable and had great personality and design. We had double doors that opened to a beautiful view of the courtyard from the third floor. Much to our delight, complimentary wine and cheese was offered in... More

We stopped here for a night to break up the journey from Memphis to New Orleans. We immediately liked the hotel. It was small, southern and had a shady courtyard with some big fish in a pond. Plus the car parking was free. However reception had misplaced the booking made by our travel agent and the following morning they charged... More

We were in town for a family wedding and the reception was was in the hotel so we stayed there. Our room was okay but the hotel was not the experience we were hoping for. First off, due to a miscommunication with one of our sons, we accidentally booked one too many rooms which was not discovered until we checked... More
