The picture of the hotel is deceiving. Looks updated, but as soon as you go around the corner to your room, whoa, it's not what you expected. Wallpaper peeling off the walls, rotten wood in the rooms, smelled musty, beds were awful, don't even have fitted sheets or at least a large flat sheet that will stay tucked in under... more

When we pulled in the parking lot we thought we were going to get mugged. There were drunk people meandering around the parking lot that were hanging out at the Bar and Billiards room directly next to the hotel. People were up yelling and knocking on doors at 2 am. We arrived at 1:30 am and had trouble getting to... more

My husband is having to work in Miss., he found mold through out the bathroom and room. When he finished his bath and came back into the room, it was being infested by roaches. We are on a limited budget and he used all he had to get this room for a week while he worked, when I called the... more

Regardless of being affected by Hurricaine katrina, Ramada Limited (who flags this hotel) had the money to maintain/fix this property and the team members of this property should have the common sense and sense of ownership to provide their guests with at least a clean room regardless of the condition. If you can't, take the room out of order. It... more

The Red Carpet Inn at Hattiesburg, MS is a classic example of gouging due to a natural disaster (Katrina). While I can reluctantly accept housing shortages driving up prices of inferior motels, it is harder to accept accomodations that are unclean and unsanitary. Paying over $75 for a room that is so filthy that you are uncomfortable sleeping on the... more

This is not a good motel. The wallpaper is coming off the walls. The bathroom was filthy. Roaches in the room. The TV did not work properly and the price was extremely high. I have stayed here in the past before. I was going south to work with hurricane victims. The front desk person said that the "owner" changed the... more
