Had a confirmed reservation for Memorial Day weekend '05. This reservation was made through Travelnow and booked by Central Reservations in October, 2004 at a great rate and for three nights. I arrived about 3:00pm Friday afternoon and was told I had no reservation. As I had left the paperwork in my friend's RV, I explained I'd go back and pick it up and return. The desk person, who purported to be the Manager, told me he didn't care what I brought back, "you don't have a reservation and you're not getting a room". After a few minutes of pleading the REAL REASON became obvious. Mine was at a rate much lower than the rack rate for a very busy holiday weekend, which was exactly why I made it so far in advance. He realized rooms were at a premium and went for the big bucks. Contacted by booking agent who went back through Central Reservations. They faxed and called but got absolutely no response
