When you enter French Camp, the town, you wonder where everyone is! But you quickly find out that folks here are super friendly, incredibly helpful, and genuinely want to make sure you have a great stay. My husband, soon-to-be 5-year-old daughter, and I stayed two nights at the French Camp Academy's Hall Lodge, a lovely but basic lodge overlooking private... More

The Memphis Rooms are newer "hotel like rooms" located across the highway by the lake. They were nice, especially the porch side which had a view of the woods. Activities for the weekend included the blacksmith, the pottery shop, the sorghum mill, and the museum. There is also an auction in support of the local school. Highly recommend the food... More

We stayed in the Carriage House. It is a lovely little house with a one bedroom downstairs and a loft upstairs. The living room has a sleeper sofa, so the house could easily accommodate six people. We had five in our group. The house was very clean. There was plenty of extra bedding in case anyone needed an extra quilt... More

Very rustic - I see some folks gave it a lower rating because of this. You'll be staying in very old but remodeled cabins, with limited facilities, in a very rural area. Know that going in, and you'll be delighted with this great little place full of history.

Given Natchez Trace's history for having rustic inns along its length it makes much more sense to lodge here at French Camp than to spend the night in a big town off the Trace. Yet despite French Camp's rustic appearance, the rooms are very comfortable: no good bed, good bathroom, and no Victorian frou-frou / clutter. It's great to wake... More

Thank you for your review - I am so glad you chose to stay with us! I am happy to hear you found your room comfortable and relaxing and that you enjoyed our bountiful breakfast! I'm disappointed to hear your breakfast was rushed - that is not at all what we want our guests to experience when they stay with... More

The rooms in the main house were great. The room and kitchen area was clean!!! Loved the decorum of old country tradition. Just needed some cups in the room. Other than that, French Camp Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful place to stay and be comfortable. Just pack you some snacks and your good :)

We stayed in the Carriage house which was spacious with 2 bedrooms, 1 queen in each (beautiful bedding). The stairs to the bedroom on the second floor were very steep. The furniture and appliances were quite worn. The back door to the outside had a deadbolt, but the front door only had a locking doorknob. A large window on the... More

Thank you so much for your review and again for staying with us! We also agree that it is time for an update to the Carriage House and have been making plans to do some renovations in the near future. I hope you will consider coming to stay with us again once the renovations are complete. Thank you also for... More

This was so much fun. I am sorry we did not have time to stay longer and I intend to return. Simple, no rush and interesting as well. Children would benefit just to see what it is like to not stare at an electronic devise all evening and possibly contemplate an era past...or maybe a vision of the future. Clean,... More

My wife and I spent 3 days relaxing and bicycling (No they are not inconsistent.) at French Camp. French Camp is home to the French Camp Academy. The Academy's history is as interesting as its present day is charming. Stayed in Sally's room in the B & B. How would I describe it? Rustic, quiet, simple, comfortable, very clean, a... More

My husband, our 23 year-old son, and I spent one night so we could visit our daughter who was working at Camp of the Rising Son. The whole time, my husband kept saying that we need to come back just for a vacation. It was so pleasant and peaceful, and the staff was as hospitable as could be, even letting... More
