The pictures on this website are very deceiving! They look nothing like the actual place. This place was extremely run down and dirty. We had to shove the desk and table in front of the doors in fear of our safety. Using Katrina as an excuse is shameful. I'm very confused as in why this place is still allowed to... more

Scary just entering room area. Room was a dump. The bed blanket was filty!. We would not walk on the floor without our shoes on. Miserable nights sleep as people were noisy around pool. We did not sleep so what a waste! This is no way a one star motel. more

This hotel was a surprise. It was recommended at the Mississippi welcome station, with a coupon that put the price to $49.95 plus tax. We expected a basic road stop, and we were not disappointed. The hotel is basic, seen one, seen 'em all, for inexpensive on the road sleepovers. It is old, and needs some renovation, which seems to... more

Our room was very run down, but clean. The resort may have been nice at one time, but no up keep has been done. We stayed in an outside room. I’m not talking about hurricane damage. The furniture in our room was broken, or falling apart. Lamps were missing bulbs. The bedspread and other blankets had large burn holes. The... more

Sure the place as well as that entire area was the direct hit from the eye of Katrina. Materials and labor diminished tremendously which was obvious in many of my trips through there in the past several years. Diamondhead Resort seemed to struggle through the rebuild process like everyone has and still is in that entire area. My most recent... more

This place is unbelievable. There were drug dealers making deals, hookers making tricks, and people bbq'ing in the parking lot. The water heaters were replaced but the old ones were lying in the parking lot. I've seen trailer parks better than this. The only thing that gave me peace of mind was that I had my handgun with me. more

Management response from
Roger Jones, Manager

In the spring of 2007 we were finishing our major hotel renovation. We aso had many construction workers here at the time helping rebuild Hancock County. Some of these workers were agreeably "undesirables". Our hotel is now complete with a new fine dining restaurant: JADEN"S STEAK & SEAFOOD, new nightclub: CLUB REFLECTIONS, and of course our newly refinished glass atrium...

First of all our reservations were lost. Then our friends had to change rooms 3 times before getting a decent room but we overlooked these problems because we knew that Katrina had taken her toll on the coast. Then the first morning we had no hot water and that night out toilet stopped up, but we also overlooked these problems.But... more

After all the other remarks made about this hotel, I thought I would add my two pennys worth. True the hotel is in a bit of a mess, Katrina did take it's toll on it. But I stayed there in January 2007 for a week and had a great time! Renovations to many rooms were taking place during my stay,... more

TERRIBLE! They overcharged my credit card 2 times. I have been calling for 3 weeks to have charges taken off of my credit card and the manager will not even call me back! She is out getting wood putty! Yeah, right!!! Always out doing petty things instead of running the hotel properly! Sucks!!!!! Do not go! more

Wow, this place is without question, the worst Ramada I've ever stayed at, and possibly the filthiest & most disgusting hotel I've ever seen! I cannot believe this is a chain hotel. I'm not even sure where to start. The outside appearance: When I pulled into the parking lot, I first thought the place was closed. I knew that Hurricane... more
