We got off the plane late afternoon in Jackson, Miss., and meant to drive back home (Louisiana) after our trip but we were tired and decided to stay in Mississippi for the night, went to Columbus, Miss., which someone told us once was a great town to visit. Got there after dark and walked into Holiday Inn to ask rate... more

After reading other reviews we were hesitant about staying here. However, we took a chance and were glad we did. Our stay was on a week night. The lobby was nice, the staff very friendly, our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a little meager, so you might want to order from the menu.... more

I just returned from Columbus, Mississippi. I was really surprised by one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in at a hotel. The hotel even offers the "pillow type of your choice." My room was spacious, attractive and very clean. I will always stay there when I visit Columbus. more

The lobby, hallway and my (non-smoking) room all smelled of smoke. My room was side of the hotel near the bar, which produced thumping bass beats until 1230am. Breakfast (not included) was mediocre. I checked out early and moved to the Hampton. more

Arrived late to hotel, was met by an unruly crowd as their bar/lounge closed. Was a mix of COPS/Jerry Springer as girls were crying, screaming and guys were fighting/wrestling (not for fun). Walking into the hotel was intimidating - was considering going someplace else but had a confirmed reservation. Room needs a good cleaning. Coffee maker had fungus growing it... more

This hotel is definitely not somewhere I would stay with a family. When we arrived there were women half dressed entering the hotel that is connected to a night club. The check in staff was extremely unfriendly during check in and check out. There is no continental breakfast and the made to order breakfast was very poor. The food was... more

I travel for business 80% of my time, and for sure this is hotel is not what you expect to find from a Holiday-Inn. I will just mention the issues I found and some suggestions: 1) Upon arriving the door key didnt worked. 2) On site restaurant "special" came as cold as from the fridge. 3) Went accross the street... more

This a standard Holiday Inn. It was under the process of being updated and the room I stayed in had already been renovated. The room was nice and comfortable. The wireless Internet connection was terrible though. Made working tough. The breakfast buffet wasn't great as some of the food was cold. I missed having the free continental breakfast of a... more

Lots of cobwebs and dust in this hotel...especially when viewed from the somewhat smelly elevator. The stairway is much quicker to take than waiting for the elevator. The breakfast buffet was ok at best...one time they ran out of pancake syrup. The room lighting was poor and for good reason, the carpet was full of stains. The room air conditioner... more

Upon entering the HOLIDAY INN ,the front lobby, you will notice a group of men talking very loudly and in another language, at first you might want to turn around and go back out. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful as we were looking for a place that served breakfast 24 hours a day. But the group... more
