This is a nice home. Good location within walking distance of all the sights in downtown Clarkdale. Rooms are nice, but basic. Some share a thermostat so make sure you agree on the settings with your neighbor.

We spent 2 nights at this beautiful old home--walking distance to the town. We were in the Magnolia room which is separate to the main house at the rear so very quiet and private. We chose to stay here based on reviews which lived up to our expectations and would highly recommend, and would stay again.

We spent a night in the Bottle Tree room in the cottage which was a lovely room with the advantage of the porch where we enjoyed chilling out with a drink when we arrived. The owner met us and was really helpful telling us where we'd be able to see live music that night, recommending places to eat and telling... More

My husband and I stayed here one night as a treat on 07/09/2013. we had the big daddy room as all the others were booked but we were not disappointed. The house is lovely and well furnished with a few downstairs rooms to lounge in with the other quests. On arrival the keeper greets you and orientates you to the... More

Our stay EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS despite the already positive reviews. Since we could tell there were a number of open rooms, we looked at several before selecting the only room available in the house. The Baby Doll room was fine for us although there's no closet and the bathroom with a shower only was tiny. We enjoyed the ambiance of... More

My family and I stayed here 2 nights and were very pleased to have chosen it. The rooms are very comfortable and the general environment and atmosphere very pleasant. Clarksdale is a town which has clearly seen better times, but the immediate area of Clark House is very agreeable and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

We wantend the only downstairs room "crossroads" in the mainhouse, because we did not like to Carry our suitcases up the stairs. Checkin time: 16.00 hours and we were met by Billy who gave us information, rules of the house and places to visit, music and were to eat.... More

If you’re a dedicated blues enthusiast then I guess Clarksdale can do no wrong but I found it a sad, charmless semi-derelict town limited in both accommodation and eating choices. So where to stay? We wanted to avoid the bland chains and looked at some of the reviews for the independent inns – specifically The Shack Inn, Ground Zero, Riverside... More

The last night was spent in the Stella suite, which was smaller, tho still comfortable,a... More

After studying and listening to Delta blues for about a year, we wanted a 2-day tour of the hallowed ground that gave them birth. Clarksdale was a perfect base for our expedition, and Clark House innkeeper, Billy Howell, greeted us with a list of venues and artists who would be performing during our mid-week visit. An unscheduled performance by Lightnin'... More
