I organized a trip to Clarksdale for 8 world travelers who are used to the best. I'd seen the Clark House and thought it would be a great spot. It lived up to all my hopes. The rooms, along with the downstairs meeting rooms were fabulous. The manager, Billy Howell, provides the best of hospitality; he knows the fine balance... More

After we saw the motels on State Street, we were really happy we had booked at Clark House. It is set on a quiet tree lined street near the college. The grounds are lovely, and the house has been beautifully restored. The cottage in back is just out the back door. WE did not see the rooms in the cottage.... More

Completely in agreement with the other 5 star reviews. Clark house is a beautiful grand house that has been very well restored and offers all the quality modern comforts in an authentic setting. Huge rooms with high ceiling but still with a cozy wsrm feel. The owner must be an art collector and the home is filled with an ecletic... More

A real southern experience at reasonable prices. What more could you ask for from a place to stay. Clean comfortable and a friendly and welcoming host. A real home from home. I would recommend Clarke House to anyone looking for a place to stay in Clarksdale.

Clark House is a spacious, restored 1850's house -the oldest in Clarksdale, heart of blues music in the Mississippi delta. Quiet location within 10 minutes walk of downtown and the blues sites. Innkeeper, Billy, very helpful and friendly; great relaxed atmosphere, house very clean, good parking, plenty of hot water. Continental style help yourself breakfast - with fresh fruit!

We were really curious about this stay and it took us by surprise. Such a lovely historic house and such a special place to stay while in Clarksdale. The pictures on the hotel's webpage does not do it justice. We received a lot of information about our stay in advance and check-in went smoothly. Wish we could have stayed longer,... More

The manager Billy eets new guests and checks them in and shows them their rooms and then leaves them the run of the place. Breakfast is laid out in the kitchen and you just help yourself as if you were at home. There are complementary cold drinks in the fridge. The house is lovely and our room in the annexe was... More

Our stay was a quick one night weekend and stayed here after reading reviews. It was everything the reviews said and more. The Big Daddy room is huge, comfortable and a destination in and of itself. Billy, our host, had our keys waiting on us, made sure we knew where to go and stayed in constant contact via txt with... More

Stayed in the Magnolia room which is separate to the main house. It was perfect for what we wanted. Very quiet and private. The room was simple but nice and comfortable. Did not see much of the main house. As stated in other reviews, the breakfast is self serve continental with no frills. Billy was very nice and helpful when... More

A quick one- night stay at this beautifully restored old home was wonderful. Spacious rooms, great baths - nice, claw foot tub and new shower, good mattress! Front porch complete with rocking chairs to read and relax, and visit. Definitely stay there again.
