As part of our road trip and honeymoon in New Zealand we booked to stay here for two nights to thoroughly unwind ahead of some travelling on the south island. Left Picton, and were intrigued as to where we were heading. As we arrived to our own private pontoon the resort revealed itself dug into the hillside with breathtaking ease.... More

Private bag 382 - and the mail boat comes but twice a week for those still using the postal service! All the mid-cons of email and communication yet a superb spot for 'getting away from it all' at the same time. The pure and natural environment is, as you mention, a theme continued through into the apartments themselves and allow... More

Great place with excellent food and wonderful accomodations. Energetic staff willing to help. We opted for Kayaking which was well worth while. This is an out of the way location but well worth the 20 minute water taxi ride to get there

Thank you for providing comments regarding your recent stay at the Bay; Indeed, being a little off the beaten track the end result of getting here is rewarding! Only 20-30 scenic minutes through the Queen Charlotte Sound by watertaxi (or a short helicopter/floatplane ride, or a sail or launch cruise), all options prove to be part of the experience from... I was lucky enough to spend two wonderful nights at the fabulous Bay of Many Coves in July 2014. Even though it was the middle of the NZ winter, from the moment we arrived on the jetty we were warmly welcomed by the great staff and given the tour of the beautiful grounds and facilities. Bay of Many Coves manages... More

The team on-site at the Bay of Many Coves truly appreciate your feedback and the review of your stay with us earlier in the year. We think winter, spring, summer or autumn, the Lodgings, facilities and environment are thoroughly enjoyable, each unique with weather and warmth but all equally delightful scenery. The Kitchen team and front of house staff are... More

My husband and I had the most amazing time at Bay of Many Coves. It was by far my favorite part of our trip to New Zealand! The rooms were beautiful. They had an amazing view of the sound, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. To chef is very talented. You have the option of both fine dining (or amazing... More

BOMC is a must if you're traveling to Milford Sound. It's a quick boat ride away from the town of Picton and its worth the trip. The Dolphins that swim by in the bay to the excellent food and wines they offer. The spa is wonderful as well. The staff is very nice and from all over the world so... More

We were here for part of our honeymoon, we stayed for three nights. The staff was excellent, especially the owners who came to visit. The rooms were gorgeus overlooking the bay. The hotel doesn't have much program to offer the guests, we did have a wine tasting but they could do yogaclasses, fruit tastings, fishing afternoons, handicraft workshops etc. for... More

Stayed here in late September as a treat for my then girlfriend on her birthday; I took the opportunity to get engaged to her at the same place, as you can hardly find more romantic surroundings anywhere. They have a deal where you can rent a motor yacht for half the day, and so I conspired with that beauty's captain... More

We only stayed three days, before we arrived I thought it might be too long. Now I wish we had spent at least a week there. It was amazing. The views are fabulous, the food was amazing, the room and facilities were first class. Take your walking boots, and a good camera, you will need both.

We welcome your comments and thank you for sharing these with other potential guests - we totally concur that 3 nights is the minimum - many guests who only fit in two regret when they depart that they didn't have another night (or more!). There is so much to do or so little, depending on your mood; and the views,... More
